Being Russell's little sister, it was very hard, for all of us. No one should have to go through what had happened- whatsoever.

When I first moved here from Colorado, it was weird to me to not see hardly if any black people. I was used to seeing a big amount of blacks and Mexicans, and it was almost all white here. I do see where he can face racism, not many people here are used to seeing black people as they've never been passed Olympia. To base someone of the color of their skin is ignorant, malicious and just plain stupid. Those are the type of people who stay in the harbor for the rest of their lives because they're scared of the "outside" world. The harbor is it's own little clan, if you're not white or native, you're be abused.

I heard he is a nerd, the more likely cause of the bullying (which I don't agree with in any way), he just got a pay off by blaming it on skin color
“you're not the boss of me!”

It is pretty 'clanish' here, in that if you were not born here (and inbred, as everyone seems to be somehow related to each other) you are not really welcome. I'm sure adding a little color to the mix does not help.
This area will be slow to change, I'm thinking

I'm really glad I found this place. I truly am.
I completely agree with Debra27 and Popcorn.
I've lived here since 04' or 05' and it's been hell ever since. I definitely do not fit in this town.
I will truly tell of my experience that both posters above me,use as examples; I became a member of Westport's FD,Sure they were nice at first,But I really got a cold shoulder from them...I never understood why,and I tried everything to fit in,My reputation was ruined over a simple misunderstanding(a post on a social networking site)and when I tried to explain my side of the story,I was told it was my side of the story and that he didn't care. I knew the Chief wouldn't have done anything at that point,So I straight up left,as that was a red flag to me,This isn't just Westport,It's almost all the FD in the county and it's so sad...I really wanted it more then anything. I then realized everyone was related or born in the town and I was a outsider and not welcome. I've been saving and saving up so I can move far away from this town,as I'm terrified to really go out in public, and I shouldn't...
Sorry this is so long,I wanted/needed to get this out...I've had no one to really get this out...
