An Anaheim-based restaurant chain agreed to pay $625,000 to settle a lawsuit alleging the firm allowed sexual harassment, then punished workers who complained about it, federal officials said Wednesday.

<shaking my head> Where is peoples respect? There is no excuse for Sexual Harassment in the workplace. Anyone who experiences it should report it in writing and issue a copy to Corporate Headquarters and State offificals unbenounced to their Employer just in case retaliation is the way the Employer handles the situation. If the Employer handles the situation properly then they have nothing to worry about, do they? Just to think that I gave $$ to Specialty Restaurants Corporation is unnerving enough by having my wedding reception in MDR a few years back. If I had only known then...

good, i used to dine out at the shanghai reds, and once saw a giant size rat running through the bushes and go directly under the front door that was it for me. when i walked back in to inform management, they ignored the my sightings and told me to leave.

I used to work at the Reef in Long Beach which was owned by the same company and let me tell you, the sexual and verbal abuse of employees was rampant!

I was a young girl just trying to get by,living on my own for the first time in my life, it was such a terrible experience but I couldnt quit because I needed the money, which evidently wasnt very much as their were a lot of discrepancies on our paychecks (their was a class action lawsuit filed against them for this)

A certain female manager would berate me on a regular basis, sometimes even being rude to customers.

2 male managers there at the time also harassed me sexually on a regular basis.

I was dumb, naive and should have pressed charges.... boy im glad someone did though.

Yeah, we have a local paper here where I have A home. We also have A local paper in Cabo where I have A time share. We have A local paper in Watsonville California where I have another home, and in Whittier and Gardena where I also own homes. Anymore questions?
