Thank you for the wonderful article on the Gospel Festival and Angie Singletary, she's a strong, funny and spirit-filled lady who I truly appreciated. Sarah Holder's testimony as she walked through the crowd provided a very soul-stirring spirit which demonstrated gospel in it's truest form. However, let it not be said that your article failed to acknowledge not only other members of the choir, but the MOST important person whose name was not even mentioned, our Minister of Music, Hendrick Lusk. Hendrick was the integral instrument GOD used to bring a dedicated and fun group of people together in a very short period of time. He and the members from various local churches worked diligently to praise and magnify the LORD. It was a spirit-filled, fun and glorious experience for many, not just a few. Thanks Hen, you're the BEST!

Just would like to know why the Director Hendrick H. Lusk was not interviewed for such a wonderful job at such a short time with working with all of us that sang for this years choir. But Praise be to God that he still works miracles in our lives. This years Choir was blessed by many solo singers that should have been featured in your article.May God Bless you an your staff.

I had a great weekend at the Gospel Fest. Just pending time with friends and family and meeting so many new friends was just how Mother's Day should be. The food was great, the music was even better, and the people were the best. I love gospel music so where better to go than the Gospel Fest.

Everyone involved did a wonderful job, but All the glory goes to GOD!!! Everyone worked hard,(beleive me I know) but none of it would have happened without GOD. The focus of the weekend was gospel music and giving priase to GOD, no one else...Thank you to the Hearld for doing an article on the Gospel Festival and helping to get the word out about how great the Gospel Fest is. Thank you to all the members for showing their love and singing their hearts out, I enjoyed every note of it!!!!

Always great to hear about Gospel Music in Monterey. On June 29 the Monterey Peninsula Gospel Community Choir will host its first Gospel Music Concert. We've been practicing since January and have assembled a great group of singers from around the community. Our special guest choir, the Japan Voices of Praise, will come from Tokyo! Also, Connie Mitchell, JoAnn Price, Deborah Wright Jones, Yolanda Mitchell West, and Valerie Turner & Family will be featured.
