Monterey: Maritime Museum closing to remodel

The Monterey Maritime Museum and History Center on Custom House Plaza will close in January for a yearlong renovation, said museum executive director Pam Crowe Weisberg.

Strange or not? Coincidence or not? The Maritime Museum has gotten itself into scalding hot water this past year and has been torn by internal as well as external chaos. And now this? You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to see that something is WRONG there. Then again, maybe this IS a case for Sherlock Holmes. Stay tuned....
