He didn't come out! If he was wrongly accused or a mistake was made on who he was or if he was involved in a crime could have been cleared up AFTER he came out when instructed by police.

quote:attorney Miguel Hernandez, who represented Gonzalez in 2006, said his impression was that his client was on the verge of turning his life around

How many times have we read/heard that?
actions speak louder then that bull!
Someone is hiding that woman, she must not be working either, hope they catch her soon, get her and her bad attitude off the streets!

Initial reports said that the shooter was male, but now they're looking for a woman? Perhaps a little-known but especially vicious gang of transgender criminals is in its way to terrorize us!

Gotta love " on the verge " as in I'm still leading a less than noble life but..........please stop excusing bad behavior! Some people will " get it " given time but let's face it, prisons are full because most people never do!

It is interesting that the news and newspapers have not pointed out how the crime is increasing in Monterey. No one has written about the robbery at the "Clement Hotel" yesterday in broad daylight. Not a word about the fights that have occurred in the early mornings at the "blue Finn" or " the Cannery Row Brewery Co." No one is pointed out the robberies late at night on the workers leaving to go home in downtown Monterey. It is here and will say until the citizens start to be aware of the problems and DEMAND that the city take action to protect us. Mucky Duck is not an isolated moment.

The cause of the fire was your "flash-bang diversionary device"..... I'm also amazed that you used a SWAT team with some tank like machine for a woman, not the shooter that was a person of intrest! What will you do when you find where the shooter is? A fighter jet dropping rounds?

Field day at the local swat team. A bunch of nazis that have no respect for life. What make them so different from the gang members they supposed to fight ?
Well, Phil, that would be because they are law enforcement officers, and as much as we may dislike it, the fact is that we must do as they say, as long as they are acting within the scope of their power. That was the case in this situation. This stellar individual had over an hour to comply with their request. What kind of courtesy do you think would have been shown to this guy south of the border?
It is way beyond time to stop all this "politically correct" idiocy and stop these criminals from thinking no action will be taken when they break the law. No one gets to choose which laws they follow and which laws they don't.

Interesting that Serrato was arrested for domestic violence in September. Wonder if it was against the mother of some his children that said on a news interview she would "get justice" for him.

So your saying since he had a domestic violence charge against him, he deserved to die. People are ignorant.

So the cops had the wrong info again and at the cost of a life that was not related to Mucky Duck. How much do our tax dollars do we have to dish out not only for the crimes committed by criminals but now for the PD screw ups because the family will righteously sue... Maybe instead of buying the swat team a very intimidating toy that makes it look like they are going to war they should sell it give the money to this family and then some.
***TRAINING IS WHAT THEY NEED OR HIRE SKILLED OFFICERS*** Their screw-ups are also at the expense of others. Just like when Soledad PD lost the evidence when a women was accused of killing her lover*** Hire the right staff or are we smelling the pig pen wanting to keep the recent grants for their own pay checks. This is why the community loses trust in the ones who are suppose to protect us.....Shame on the SWAT wanna bees :)

No one deserves to die. This hombre had over one hour to come out of the house and made a choice not to. Perhaps had he followed the law he would be alive today. In jail, but alive. This is the problem with allowing all these illegals to remain here. They have no understanding of the laws of the country they snuck in to and find themselves in this type of situation because of it.

I think the facts will show that proper protocol was followed and there will be no basis for a lawsuit. Again, This person had ample time to comply with a legal request and chose not to. He paid the consequence. Do you really think he would have had a better outcome in his "homeland"? I think this country was very good to him, treated him fairly, and he made his choice. There is a lesson to learn here.

Too late.

I live in Carmel (the poor parts)and all manual work in town are done by Mexicans. Landscaping. Housekeeping. Construction. Maintenance. Restaurant workers. All Mexicans. Mostly illegal.

OT, in the past few months, I have seen several homeless folks hanging around downtown Carmel. Seems to be a new phenomenon.

Based on County confirmed medical reports the deceased subject suffered from severe insomnia and was taking a myriad of sleep aids including Ambien. He was in an Ambien induced sleep which as you Ambien takers know you wouldn't wake up even if a SWAT team with a bull horn crashed into the house on the Grave Digger. So, to throw a flash grenade into the residence when your subject is a female who wasn't present at the scene, opens the flood gates to a myriad of bottom feeding ambulance chasing lawyers eager to sue for wrongful death. This case may be settled for a minimum of $5 Million. Thank you taxpayers.
