i have a 95 blazer vortec. there was a humming sound from the fuel tank and the gas guage was always off. i went and replaced the pump but not the sending unit. after about a month i realised that the sending unit has the float on it. i went out and got a new sending unit(400$) and used the 1 month old pump and installed it back. now i have an even louder humming sound and the truck every 50 yards starts to spudder to the point of shutting off. i did also change the tanks filter but i cannot find the fuel filter that is usualy closer to the motor. would a bad filter cause the engine to shut off? if so can someone tell me were to find it. could be an easy cheap fix if i could change it.

I have a 95 Chevy Blazer AWD, with 128k miles. Recently while driving, the speedometer needle has started to stick at zero and the car will not accelerate past 2nd gear. Disconnecting the battery cable temporarily appears to remedy the problem, but this is notthe solution. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Hey there Enrique, you're more than likely having the same problem that occurred with my Corvette. Under less than 1/4 Tank, slamming on either the gas or brakes, my car would stutter and stall out, reason is the GM fuel tank design. When you go down a steep hill, or hit the brakes really hard, fuel flows to the front of the tank and can make it read empty, the computer then shuts off the motor thinking it doesnt have enough fuel. So you have 2 choices, fill your tank up more, or buy a fuel cell for the back of your truck and keep it filled.

I have a 95 chev cheyenne 2500 5.7 ilt why would the trans not shift into over drive unless i turn it off and restart it ? Help it's driving me nuts.....

I have a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer with 30000 miles. When braking I get a pulsing in the brakes which causes the vehicle to slightly shake. I have replace the brake rotors with new rotors, replaced the brake pads and the front shock absorber. None of these changes effected the condition

i have a 95 chevy 4x4 119000miles 6 cly vortech motor was losing power going up hills and heating up as soon as you leveled off it would cool down and run fine.took it to a shop found out it was blowing the heads off the spark plugs to make a long story short. we have replaced the water pump, plugs, wires, map sencor, o2 sencer, egr sencor, had a new spider put on, the converter is clean,starts fine but now has a ruff idle and check engine light blinks.

I have a 1991 mazda 626 2.2L 5 speed. When trying to accelerate the car doesn't seem to have much power and when the rpm's get above say 2000 I hqave to shift into the next gear or the car will start to jerk uncontrolably. After shifting it stops until the rpm's climb. This behavior will allow me to reach a top speed of about 40 mph. Then I need to feather the gas and clutch in order to prevent the jerking. It seems like it's not getting gas. Therefore I changed the fuel filter but that did not help. Any suggestions?

I have a 98 chevy astro, and nothing blows out of my front vents, a'c, heat...nothing. It all goes to my defrost. In other words, it's basically stuck in defrost. Can you tell me what I need to buy, and how to install it? Thank you, T-rick

i have a 2001 chec with a 5.3 engine my problem is sometimes the fuel guage works then quites then starts working again .this goes on all the time while driving . any answers available on this problem would be greatly appreciated .thankyou

I have a 2001 4wd blazer,it recently over heated on me I replaced the water pump,clutch fan,thurmastat and it's still running hot.now the engine shakes really really bad could it be the head basket or could I have a cracked head.

Do your interior lights and lighter work? If not, it's probaby just the fuse. Our interior lights wouldn't shut off so we had to take the fuse out so our battery wouldn't die. Along with that fuse being out, the rear window won't open and the lighter won't work either.

1997 4dr Chevy Blazer 4WD..
A/C stopped working a few years ago.
Took A/C in for fix, quote was too high, they said we need a new compressor.
Got it out of shop un-fixed, heater no longer worked.
When we turn on heat or A/C the SUV dogs like mad then dies.
Now the power brake booster is bad, can't afford the fix, disconnected it.
Electrical inside turn signal switch is bad, can't afford the fix.
Driver's side door falling off hinges, no apparent reason, and driver's door handle is dangling too.
Just wanted to list complaints ...and ask if anyone knew if besides the bad air compressor, something else will need to be replaced having to do with the heating and air conditioning not working and causing the vehicle to die?

Forgot to mention also, the interior lights stay on, we had to remove the fuse to save our battery. What's up with that?!

Pfft, sorry, one more thing..

When we turn the vehicle on, we are still unable to change the gear to neutral, it has always been this way. It's a big scary problem whenever the vehicle tries to strand us somewhere, we can't get a push or tow. Any insight on that would be nice too.

Am I correct in thinking that the thermostat is not opening enough in my 1995 Dodge Dakota if the temperature guage rises to the maxium safe level (not over to the hot mark yet) at higher rates of speed (55-65mph) and not at slower speeds? It didn't rise to that temperature before.

When I go to start the truck it is taking about 10 sec's to turn over and start. It only does this after the truck has sat for awhile : like an hour or more. If you stop and turn off truck and restart all is ok. I got about 31000 mile now.
Up to this point the truck with turn over and start in less then 3 sec's. I have talked to other owners at work and some are haveing the same problem. Any help or answer to the problem would be nice to now !!!!

most chevys are half wayjn the middle , drivers side, along inner running board by the frame
