Santa Cruz County day worker center off to strong start

Since the Day Worker Center of Santa Cruz County opened on Seventh Avenue in April, jobs regularly are popping up for landscaping, moving furniture and yard maintenance with pay up to $15 an hour.

Just out of curiousity, what happens when you hire one of the "Day Laborers" from the Center, and they get seriously injured?

Or when one of them decides to rob your house?

Who is liable?
