Sounds more like someone looking to make money off his new book.

What if someone has a phobia of butterflies? Heaven then becomes their Hell, LOL!

I don't ask my friends/family/neighbors about movies.

I admit to be being very picky.

Last night watched "JackAss 3" and loved it!

:))

But go ahead - I hope you enjoy it. Not for me.

Pay attention
You quoted a politician
No, but its all about risk vs reward
And you think unsafe food, unfair business practices, price fixing, child labor etc is ok, in the balance that is?

The fix for these things is so unacceptable to you?

Society does not agree.

Why is collectivism a dirty word to you?

A lot of believers are convinced their faith is reality.

And many scientists are believers as well.

Do you think truth is like a popularity contest?

Perhaps you believe in Wikiality [per Colbert].

"...Wikiality, defined as the concept that "together we can create a reality that we all agree onthe reality we just agreed on."[5] The premise of wikiality is that reality is what the wiki says it is.[6] He explained that on Wikipedia "any user can change any entry, and if enough users agree with them, it becomes true."

White-nose syndrome (WNS) is a poorly understood disease associated with the deaths of at least 5.7 million to 6.7 million North American bats.[

Sea. Normally 4 security guys would be the max (apart from local suport), when traveling rather anonymously in any country.
And the point would be whether a recommendation was put forward or a high priority demand.
Usually embassies speak in terms of recommendations.
The point is also, that if the are out to get you with heavy material, casualties cannot be avoided.
From what was testified, the request was made for the embassy in Tripoli, not the consulate in Bengazzi. The attack was an intelligence failure - which doesnt say much.

The repubs are trying to make this into a political issue - but really, most people here are more concerned with the economy (trying not to go back in time) and social issues (trying not to go back in time).

Today one of the dead security guy's wife is on the airwaves spastically upset because she she says she now cant "trust" what the government is telling her. HELLOOOOOOO!!!! Her hubbie was an ex Navy Seal!!! WHEN did the government EVER tell her truthfully what he was up to??? Puleaaaaaze.

(Its like people have memory blinders once they decide they want to enter the political fray).

Islam does not advocate that people take law in their own hand and dispense their own justice. In Islamic courts such people are like criminals and they would be dealt very severely.
But you people do not want Islamic courts, do you?
MUQ,

Are woman allowed to sit on the Islamic courts as Judges?

Are woman allowed to be mullahs or imams and authorize fatwas and other religious decrees or interpretations?

If not, why not? How can Islam be fair if it is only administered by men?

I believe it was the lady's only child, who she raised by herself. No, he didn't tell her what he did, or was he was stationed.

Did you watch the entire hearing? I found it curious, actually refreshing, that after a couple of obligatory remarks about being a partisan hearing, the Dems were strangely silent. Rats and ships come to mind.

I read the obit of him, and he had been around the world doing security (post special ops) in some really sketchy places. I had thought the story was about his wife. When I read the obit a few weeks ago, I couldnt help wondering what type of marriage this guy must have to be abroad for his entire career, let alone in highly dangerous places.(To be fair, I wonder the same about Bill and Hillary - but we know the answer to THAT one)

You are correct. I just googled the story. He was the computer specialist, not the ex Seal. Ironically, it was the ex-Seals mom who told Romney to buzz off and not invoke them.

Like I said, this is a tempest in a teapot. An attempt to create an election year issue from a candidate whose own views om foreign policy are either no different than Obama, or MIA.

Lybia is not the business of the UN anymore.
Once the rebels decided to fight on, instead of depending on by proxy talks, there was no more roll for them.
Some resolution will be put into place, but did Lybia ever sign the accord not to use clusterbombs? I'll bet not.
