Thomas Pollacci found guilty of rape

Full story: Monterey County Herald

After only three hours of deliberations and two votes, a jury Monday found Thomas Pollacci guilty of raping a woman in the loft of Ron's Liquors in Pacific Grove in 2008.

Wouldn't it be wild if he and Dr. Bergstrom ended up being cellmates?

YEA!!!! Justice is SERVED. The good people of Pacific Grove can now sleep knowing this monster is behind bars. I urge you to write to the Judge and demand the longest sentence possible for this 3 time loser. Boycott Ron's and Cork 'n Bottle which paid for Mr. Liu (make room in hell) and a team of investigators to buy Tommy out of this mess.

Hey Tommy, when your folks lose their house in the civil suit, think you'll get that YOU brought this all on? How's it feel not to have that skunk/raccoon wig on your head?? Oh, and act like your dropping the soap is an "Accident", you'll be sure to get what you've craved all these years. WOMEN: Any Man over 50 and still living with Mommy, is TROUBLE.

This is a good day indeed. Tommy you going to the reunion?? Ha, Ha, Ha

I wonder where the mattress ended up. Why did no one ever ask? If it was covered with blood it would have shot down the falling down the stairs story.

Tommy,
You are about to spend eight years in prison. You never grew up, but I believe you will once you enter the system. I can only hope for your family. Your siblings and parents are hard working folks who to their detriment enabled you to live a life style that has come to a just end.

Don't presume that a though investigation wasn't done. PGPD did an awesome job of putting this serial rapist away. Congrates to all involved!

It's nice to live in a county with such intelligent jurors, with such brave and selfless victims willing to expose themselves to embarrassment for the sake of others, and such a great law enforcement and prosecution team. A very important job, well done by all. A special thanks to the Jane Does, who did not have a job to do, who were forced by circumstances to make difficult decisions and to develop inner strength of steel. Thank you for coming forward. Your work was the hardest to do and the least rewarding, and I'm grateful to you for doing it.

According the Herald story on this topic, "He faces a maximum of eight years in prison when he is sentenced June 4. Because the jury did not conclude he used force, Pollacci is technically eligible for probation and must serve only 50 percent of any sentence."

So, the Judge should give him the MAX (8 yrs) and he will serve 4 (maybe less) and be out for 4 more on probation. A person could obtain a couple of college degrees in that time, I wonder what "degree" or education he will have when done?

His family will also suffer more loss of status and money. From what I know and have read it is them who protected and enabled him to continue this behavior even when they had knowledge and were warned that someday this would be the final outcome.

So, justice is served cold and how many more Tom Pollacics are out there? In PG and Carmel? that are known by the community, friends, teachers and parents but continue to be protected or continue to get away with ...?
I hope this outcome sends a message to those out there who have been getting away with unlawful acts, that every dog has its day. To the parents of problem children, do something now before your child is 50 and still causing you heartache.

June 4th should be a interesting day.

That's funny. I was thinking the exact same thing. The conversations that could be had between them would be so delusional.

Let us not forget, this "POS" has to register as a sex offender when he gets out of the slammer. Well, that's if he makes it out. I don't know about you, but I don't want this dirtbag living in my neighborhood. By the way, can someone list all the liquor stores that this family owns? I want to make sure my business goes elsewhere.

If this family hadn't turned a blind eye to Tommy's crimes all these years, he would have taken his rightful place in prison a long time ago. His family enabled him to continue. If this was MY family as you suggest, they would have disowned me, and rightfully so.

I'm going to breathe a bit easier knowing he's behind bars away from me and the rest of the public. All those years he was allowed to work in a liquor store while being a registered sex offender, seeing people's drivers licenses! He followed more than one person home in his long perverted career, so that was a serious problem.

He built a toxic "love-nest" in the store, and the family must have known about that. Maybe they should all be charged as accessories or at the least lose a lot of the wealth that allowed this decades-long fiasco to continue.

I don't feel sorry for the family at all. They had their chance to come clean, and kept fixing things behind the scenes.

I stopped shopping at their stores years ago because Tommy gave me the creeps, and I won't be going in them again.

Maybe if his family had not have "bought" him out of trouble for the last thirty years we could be more compassionate. Why didnt they get him mental help??? People are angry because they used their money to sweep his disgusting behavior under the rug for many years!!!
