Give the references. Up to now, all papers mentioning problems were based on lack of statistical coherence, or pure speculation based on in vitro in vivo extrapolation. I do accept that smoking anything is not recommendable during pregnancy. Nothing here to justify illegality of pot.
Anyway, making a drug illegal augments its consumption, in all cases (with dangerous or non dangerous products).

As they have not yet had their ultra-right wing candidate yet, I don’t expect them to learn until they do.

Honestly

Until they get someone like Rick Santorum ( who of course will go down in flames in the general election ) I don’t think the far right will actually take stock of the situation.

The GOP is in a tough spot, a large section of their party hates other large groups of people, Minorities ( all of them usually ), women ( subservient sex ), Immigrants ( even legal ones ), and... drum roll.... Liberals ( who are a majority of Americans ), anyone of a religion other than some particular religion.

How do they start reaching out, with out a large segment of their base abandoning them?

to be honest... I have no idea how they will do this.

But I don’t think they will face their crisis yet, I think they will lurch right one more time, and actually run a right wing religious nut job and have him go down in a landslide before they actually face their situation.

I tried it for some problems like you, didn't help that much, smoking it gave me heartburn and made my chest hurt, eating it was hard to control the outcome, after reading about what it does to the heart to middle age men, I won't smoke it anymore and most likely will not use it anymore. Not too many people middle age know what condition their heart is, a heart attack can sneak up on anyone. Why take the chance? It's not worth it.

I hope the 2 states will be able to go through with making it legal, it will be a good chance to see how it works. I too think it should be legal. I'm just saying, like drinking booze, it has it's risks. It won't save the world.

legalization is up to the particular state....
