You really need to try it.
It is the same principle that perpetuates this unending tension about homosexuality. Why is it not there for other differences?

The denial that ss orientation is a defect. Not a moral one, just a sexual 'manufacturing' fault of some type.

The denial that anal sex is a clear violation of design with horrible consequences. Inherently harmful, unhealthy and demeaning.

This spiritual truth still stands; Confession is good for the soul.

What will happen if you start down that road?

I donít have any tension about homosexuals, they Americans the same as anyone else. The defect is your obsession with denying other Americans that are perhaps different than yourself equality and freedom that the rest of us enjoy.

1. I never diminished marriage to children alone. I simply and factually noted that marriage is a cross cultural constraint on evolutionary mating behavior.
I have posted numerous times "If You" which lists numerous distinctions besides children between marriage and gay couples.
One of the most profound is the union of diverse genders, creating a whole new being which happens to also reconnect to the very origin of humanity when life was genderless. Gays can only duplicate their gender.
Childless hetero couples have never been discriminated against in any culture in all of human history. On the other hand, gay couples have never been accepted as married.
2. Nor have I restricted marriage to any religion. Your claim of a Christian church accepting gay couples as married is simply and clearly heresy. The same rejection is true in every major religion.
The only prevailing interest the government has in marriage is the protection of the weaker mate and the children birthed within the relationship. The government has no reason or right to regulate friendships, especially in a discriminatory manner.
Please get your facts straight next time.
Smile.
You are the one that needs to get your facts straight, there are thousands of churches asking to preform same sex marriages, why are their religious freedoms being denied?

You lied about what I said. Get your facts straight.

1. Because marriage is a cross cultural constraint on evolutionary mating behavior. Gay couples are a absolute and defective contradiction, literally 'unmarriage'.

2. A 'church' can do whatever it wants. However those attempting to perform 'marriage' with gay couples are simply and clearly apostate organizations.

3. There are millions of churches who agree with me.

4. And the vast witness of billions of churches over Christian history.

Smile.

No I am trying to understand all this tension you have about the subject, tension that you and people like you create

I could personally care less what any churches anywhere think, their rules are for believers in which ever that particular religion has and no one else, this is the land of the free.

However I find it humorous that it is religious people working to deny other religious people equality and freedom.

It is like the father of the revolution said, John Adams- "this would be the best of all possible worlds were there no religion in it"

Marriage my be a "holy thing" to one religion, and less of so to another, I donít care, we are talking about the law, in the eyes of the law it is a legal contract that should be applied equally regardless of race, creed, sex, religion, orientation or national origin.

The problem is not homosexuals, the problem are Americans who are hate bent trying to deny rights to others different than themselves, that is not the American way.

You are on the losing side of freedom, it will prevail, no matter how much tension you try to create over it

No, it won't, Liza, because the same arguments will serve the polygamy case, just as well as they served the SSM case. No-one ever thought that inter-racial marriage would be legalized, nor did they think that SSM marriage would ever be seriously considered, so be narrow, if you wish, but unless you have crystal ball, I would not suggest you try to read the future...

It would be unthinkable to our founders that women could vote ( chuckle )

I think it's very easy to understand. KiMerde is afraid of change. Put simply, he's a scared old man. He longs for the past because he could 'get it up' then. Now all he can do is think about it, and he can't quite come to grips with his bisexuality.

The good old days werenít all that good, I wish people understood that. They long for the days when people of another color were denied civil rights, when women where second class criticisms, I donít long for the "good old days" because there werenít any.

The future to me looks brighter than the past.

Freedom is taking hold, the world is struggling with it, but it is expanding around the world.

It is ok for people to be themselves, not a carbon copy of what something thinks they should be.

I honestly donít understand all the hate, but I can clearly see where much of it comes from.
