The monastery is part of our cultural history and we all need it to survive whether we know it or not. it's like a small animal bordering on the edge of extinction. It may not seem to affect us directly but,if it's gone, we are all diminished a little.
By buying a fruitcake we further a spiritual cause. Truly, God works in mysterious ways.

Fruitcake a "cash cow?"

Do they mix in some metaphors with the ingredients?

I normally don't like fruit cake, but this is really good if it's the same recipe I had years ago that was made by the Big Sur Monks. It is especially good if you slice it and put it in the toaster, add a little butter and your favorite jam on it. Yum! It's worth the beautiful coastal drive to enjoy this traditional delite and it just feels good to support this group and admire them for their love of maintaining their beautiful property.

This Hermitage is a place of deep repose a sanctuary for the weary and downtrodden an interior recharging for the timid soul weary of the exterior life and a safe harbor for those seeking truth and true life in the heart of Jesus on which all things pivot upon and find their fulfillment. Please support this deeply effective prayer community both in prayer and temporal needs with which they struggle with. I know for i've been there and have tasted and know the truth. There's something bigger than theirselves that happens there. So please add to their support in their continued efforts on behalf of Our Lord and for His most Blessed Church.
Peace and Merry Christmas

I forgot to add that their fruitcakes are divine and they will help them should you buy them for yourselves and your loved ones throughout the years. They weigh like an anchor and taste sublime.

Peace
