At the concert in the park, law enforcement sources stated that most of the skeleton was found, including the skull, but that no information on whether there was hair (that could supply DNA) still on the skull.

The remains were described as 'bones only' that had been in the open for a very long time, probably years.

I heard a rumor that the sex is not 100% sure as being male, and a homeless woman disappeared around the same time, so that is being looked at as a possibility. They reportedly haven't found all the bones, and no DNA at this time.

WTF rumors
Jim talked with the investigating deputy coroner Thursday
Montebello PD Chief thinks one is female, is clueless about the other _ sheriff Homicide had taken over investigation and now Coroner is lead.
Concerned is correct about "all the bones" which were scattered and dna is progressing.
According to Jim the do have some dental leads but forensic dentistry is backed up.
Any idea who the homeless woman was?
There are fewer leads on any female.

I spoke with the Coroner Wed. There was a cowboy reunion yesterday and I reported that the forensic dental was "inconclusive".
DNA matching is still in progress

Mr Flournoy evidently posted this yesterday but it did not bump the Topix index.

Coroner said the "remains" found by utility workers in Montebello Tuesday night was a plastic skull.
Apparently there was a cauldron nearby.

Anyone see anything in the press?
