Hank, I'm sorry about your cat. I've sadly heard of similar incidents at Cameron Animal Hospital. Trust me, you will not get any answers.

I recently decided to give Cameron another chance. I waited an hour and a half for a one-minute appointment.I think it's time for him to retire.

I must add that a cat shouldn't die from a blocked urinary tract. My vet will always send my cats to the emergency clinic overnight if there is a potential problem after surgery. I value that approach.

Dr Cameron is a very special Vet as well as a very special person. I have been taking my

dogs and cats to him for twenty years and have always been more than satisfied.

Recently my cat developed cancer in his jaw. Dr Cameron and the staff not only provided the

services needed but showed genuine compassion for the cat and my family. When it was

time, I said goodbye to my best friend Storm in the most humane way for the pet as well as

for my family. As if this was not enough...I received a hand written personal condolence card from

Dr Cameron and the staff.

I recommend Cameron Animal Hospital from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you Dr Cameron...you are one of a kind!

Sincerely,

Ken and Ronda

Dr Cameron is the absolute best. Caring, smart and fair if you have trouble with the cost of care. I'm willing to bet a lot of the disgruntled peeps had to wait a while. There is often a wait, despite your appt. time because Dr. C takes critical patients without hesitation. Deal with it!

I have been going to Cameron Animal Hospital for many years with my pets. My dogs and cats have been treated by all three vets and I have never been dissatisfied with their treatment or outcomes. The office space is very small and the parking situation in Montclair is bad, but the bottom line is that my pets have been treated by some of the most compassionate vets in Essex County.

Everyone will have there own feelings to express
And I respect that yet wanted to share my own thoughts.
My experience with Dr Cameron has been nothing short of fabulous. Our family has been going to him for yrs. He is the most CARING vet with a heart of gold! Your not a number or a dollar bill when you come to his office.
He cares about your pet and has saved many of my pets when at deaths door.
I guess I needed to truly write this review tonight because I needed to put down one of my pets tonight due to widespread cancer.
He will tell you when its time but will explain options if there are any. These animals are not a paycheck to him, they are his life, his Passion.
He's come out on holidays, Sundays Christmas, Easter for me and my pets. Show me a vet that would do that? If your looking for a Dr that has the knowledge with a heart of gold Dr Cameron is your Vet. Hands down the best Vet out there.

Don't insult one of my favorite saints by comparing him to this man..
Nellie, as you stated you have voiced your opinion. The rest of us here are also voicing ours. Dr. Cameron is the BEST vet around. He used to chair the vet board, he lectures, he donates, he is ALL about the animal and NOT the money. I dont know why you had such a bad experience but Dr. Cameron is and always will be a saint in the eyes of many. even other Dr.s have the highest respect for him. I have been using him for over 30 years, I had worked for him as well for many years. He takes care of not only the animals, but his employees as well. He is the man. He is the best. I will trust him before anyone else and yes, he IS worth the wait!

ps - please leave the saint religious talk out of this!

By the way, Dr. Cameron doesnt need to send his patients away to high priced ER clinics because he IS 24/7. That man NEVER takes a day off. He is ALWAYS there taking care of his patients and his rescue animals. He never just puts an animal down for no reason. If he decides that is the best option, it is because there are no other options. He also has a vet tech that lives in the building that is there to check on the animals 24/7. Post-op, emergencies...whatever.

So, Nellie, we have all heard you and we completely disagree. Now move on please!

Dr. Cameron is the best vet in NJ. He's on-point with his diagnosis and treatment. My cats were diagnosed with HCM at age 2 and they are 12 years old now because of the course of treatment Dr. Cameron put them on when they were young. He is a fantastic person as well and really cares about his animal patients and their owners. He was kind enough to offer to talk to my husband when I told him that he was not very nice to my cats. Of course, my husband refused to talk to Dr. Cameron, but Dr. Cameron was also concerned about my well-being. He's a very intelligent man with a huge heart.

both cats Anu Katze had the runs. What to do. Call Dr Cameron, who actually answers the phone when you would expect a machine. Yes, just give them yogart in their food and wait. No drugs, no charge, no hassles. If God had pets he/she would go to Dr Cameron.
What all doctors should be like.
Thanks

In over thirty years of receiving top-notch quality and compassionate care for our dogs from Dr. Cameron and Staff, I needed to respond to the negative comments stated by Nellie-Boston, Mass. My first concern is that the comments were not first addressed at CAH. Why the need to anonymously publish negative comments? It is my belief that you, having perceived some negative impressions, would have benefitted from a thorough and professional explanation from Dr. Cameron and Staff of the reasons for their actions. And I am certain you would have been extremely satisfied by them. Let me share one of my family's wonderful and treasured experiences with this outstanding veterinarian, Dr. George Cameron. Our golden had incurable sarcoma of the mouth. After one surgery, the cancer recurred, with no hope for recovery. All options were discussed with us, we were led to our own decision to put the dog down. The whole process was completed with dignity, compassion and love. Dr. Cameron's HEART is in his practice. Have you ever seen him sitting with kittens covering his chest, in the back, to keep them warm. It is truly YOUR LOSS if you never avail your pets of his animal care again.

Sorry but my experience with Dr Cameron was very mixed
Yes he loved cats but that beatch Janice tried to.shake me down for money but in the nastiest most intimidating and rude way
Dr Cameron agreed to take in some kittens I rescued from a colony I was.feeding
I.am.on SSD and barley have enough to feed myself but I was concerned about giving these babies a chance before they became feral
I finally told her to go pick on.their rich Montclair clients instead of someone as poor as me
Also I.had an Fiv+cat that he suggested I put down I couldn't have been more shocked or offended
Also when.my cat had a feeding tube put in which I managed to raise $500 for it popped out after 10 days
Dr Cameron asked me if I took it out!!!!
Seriously ?
I felt that it should have been reinserted at no.cost toe but they refused
I was not in the same room when.the feeding tube popped out.
Also I.took another one of my older cats there because she had lost weight even though she needed to
He palpated her abdomen and said nothing
Turns out she had inflammatory bowel disease and died from complications.from.it a little more than a year later
He would shoe me out b/c I didn't have much money and my pets suffered as a result
I always made payments as agreed to on a monthly basis
It felt so greedy that Janice is a witch!

I don't like Dr. Cameron. He is way overrated and certainly not worth the hours you spend in his waiting room waiting to be seen. He doesn't euthanize when he should and I've known cases where animals suffered because of this.
IF YOU SPEND A LOT OF TIME WAITING FOR DR. CAMERON IS THAT SO MANY PEOPLE RESPECT & LOVE HIM. THAT'S RIGHT - LOVE HIM. I PERSONALLY KNOW THAT HE HAS CHOSEN TO NOT EUTHANIZE ANIMALS THAT STONE COLD OR CHEAP PEOPLE DON'T CARE ABOUT. HE TAKES THEM, TREATS THEM, AND ADOPTS THEM OUT INSTEAD OF KILLING THEM. A FRIEND OF MINE FELL ON HARD TIMES. HER DOG HAD SEIZURES. EVEN THOUGH THE DOG WAS NOT HIS CLIENT, DR. CAMERON EXAMINED THE DOG, GAVE TESTS & GAVE MEDS @ NO COST TO MY FRIEND. I HAD OFFERED TO PAY FOR IT MYSELF BUT BECAUSE DR. CAMERON KNEW I HAD GIVEN A LOT OF $$ TO HELP MY FRIEND ALREADY, HE DID NOT CHARGE HER WHICH IS WAS HE DOES VERY, VERY OFTEN. HE & HIS WONDERFUL STAFF ARE THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ANIMALS!!!! NO ANIMAL HAS SUFFERED A MINUTE LONGER THAN NECESSARY IN THEIR HANDS!!!!
