Gold Line team effort

Following Metro's adoption of the Long Range Transportation Plan, the Foothill Extension has the commitment it needs to move forward to construction.

What sense does it make to run the Gold Line to Montclair? There is already service (Metrolink) between Montclair and LA. A shuttle or trolley could provide transportation from the Rancho Cucamonga station to Ontario airport. It would appear to make more sense to run the Gold Line along the 210 to Highland and serve the foothill communities that are along that corridor. Gold Line to Montclair provides redundant service and represents gov't at its worst at taxpayer expense.
