Wow, I don't even remember this story. He must of already did his jail time since it was 2 years ago unless he was out on bail?
I'm sure it was an accident and teens are not very cautious drivers. I don't know if I would stop either if I'm not sure what I hit. I'd be too scared to. Well atleast they caught him or he confessed so the family knows what actually happened.

Did you hear about the story where 3 teens crashed into a lake and left the driver sink because they couldn't get his seatbelt off? They ran to the first house and asked to warm up inside but the homeowner closed the door. The 2 teens ran to the next house where they showered, changed and had the homeowner drive them home, a longer way away from the crash. The teens never mentioned the crash or got help for thier friend, who died. These teens never got in trouble by the law.

Why only 2 years for causing the death of another human ?? Isn't that getting off just a lil bit too easy?? I mean hell if everyone were only to get 2 years for anothers death, we can all go out & kill... He will have free room & board in jail, free clothes, free food, He has it made now... Lets get real with the sentencing... make the punishment fit the crime...

One of my GREATEST FEARS is to hit a person or child with my vehicle, and injure or kill that individual. One life is lost, and the other is forever changed. And not for the better. My heart goes out to the family of the fellow who was walking his dogs. God bless and keep his soul. Driving a car or truck or ANY vehicle, is a priveledge, not a right!! And both must be earned for as a driver, you have a responsbility to the world around you. If you do have an accident, PLEASE STOP!!! and make sure no one is hurt. The law sometimes makes interesting judgements, but if I were that kid, I'd have nightmares for the rest of my life over this. I feel sorry for everyone in this matter.:-(
