No single man at 60 years old needs
a set of girl twins to raise on his own.
I Wonder his intent?
That is awful.

While I agree that this seems like a rather strange situation, the adoption screening process is supposed to look into this man's life and do everything possible to ensure that he has the capacity to be a good father.

I don't think, however, that the public should be permitted access to the adoption records--in this case, and in the vast majority of other cases.

I can't understand why anyone would not want all their private records splashed all over the front pages of the Star in the name of SENSATIONALISM!!

Ok... first the judge screws up (big-time) and allows this adoption to take place. Basically, this guy from NJ purchased twin girls. Now, the court is sealing all the records in the "best interest of the children". WHAT COMPLETE CRAP!!!

Absolutely right decision for all adopted persons and adoptive families of Indiana. The records of adoptions and mental health cases are sealed and confidential and, though the Star and many of its readers are interested in sensationalizing this particular case, that is not a substantive or pressing need so as to open those confidential files and expose these children further. I hope the editor will drop the matter.

From the columns regarding this a year ago, it was a Hamilton Cty Judge who approved the adoption, Judge Hughes. Then for whatever reason, the case was moved out of Hamilton Cty where it originated. What a cover up and you're right, it is a bunch of crap!

These records should only be viewed by the adoptee and nobody else. When this gentleman made the arrangements with the surrogate, he had no way of knowing that it would end up being twin girls! If these girls had been born to him with a partner, his age would be a non-issue!!!

Many people "buy" babies the same way this man did. There are many surrogate mothers out here. The only reason there is a massive issue is because the sperm mixed with this gentlemans sperm turned out to be the donor sperm. Had his sperm been the actual DNA there would be no case!

The records should be sealed and remain sealed to the public. Look how many on here already have a hatred for this man because he is now a 60 yr old single father of twin girls. Imagine what a nutcase could and would do if address was made available!

He does have other children.

While this case does sound fishy, the New Jersey social services should take care of it, not the Indianapolis Star.

This is Disturbing! I gave up a child for adoption at 18 and If I thought for 1 min. that my baby went to a dirty 60 year old man...It would devestate me. As a parent now...I know children need a Stable, Clean, and Loving Home!! People should be more careful in choosing adoptive Perents!!!

You cannot tell me something isn't wrong here. I mean for gods sake did you read the article ? The man came up to the hospital with a bird inside his sleve, and bird feces on his coat. What the hell seems normal about this weird fucko ? Please Please INDY STAR fight fight fight this issue. My heart is breaking for those little girls....And I will pray every day that if these little girls are in harms way of any sort, that GOD will take care of the situation, and get these little girls out of there. The Star like the news media in general spends far too much time getting involved in private people’s lives. It is not our business. Stop being the printed Jerry Springer. Those people wanting to learn more about this should get a life!

So I guess there are no weirdo biological parents out ther?!?!?! The Star just wants to open these records because they are there for prying eyes. I'm sure that there would be raising cane if bioparents had to start being submitted to the kinds of investigations that adoptive parents go through. Go sit on your high horse somewhere else!

Forget political correctness, equal rights and all that stuff.....a single 60 year old man has no business adopting twin baby girls.
