Wow,thanks for the heads up! was thinking of getting the big trike,then I noticed that they are not approved for sale in California. Most of their trikes are not approved for CA. Some of their other models are not approved for here either. Could be our tough vehicle & emissions requirements.

Gonna go with plan B...electric bike. The shop is in Berkeley,CA.

Too bad we don't have ANY American scooter manufacturers. Too bad we don't manufacture much of anything anymore.

I too bought a scooter from these guys. A 150 that I'm pretty happy with. Fortunately I am mechanical inclined so what little problems I have I can work with. BUT - their service does stink up the place. My speedometer is high by 15%, odometer by 40%, I don't trust the ammeter, kill switch does nothing, etc.- things that I can't fix. They did tell me to find a local repair for warranty service; good luck with that! Poor quality, lousy service, great price. I guess you get what you pay for...

$947.00 for a scooter. Delivered very damaged. 6 months have gone by and still no replacement parts. Try putting a chargeback on the account and VISA says, they are not doing anything wrong. Tood bad stupidity is not painful, they would all be dead! Any questions, let me know.

I've had a positive experience with ScooterDepot and am very happy with my scooter.
Here's my experience: I saw an ad, and followed it to the website. The prices and styles looked great, and I wanted one. Then, I started looking at reviews. Whoa! Nothing but bad news: wrong color, missing parts, no instructions, loose bolts, scratches, missing tools, won't start, electrical problems, fuel leaked onto the driveway, had to clean the carburetor, company won't answer the phone, documents were never sent, etc., etc, etc. Ouch! I just about gave up on them.
But then I went back to the site, and read everything as carefully as I could. I found that they covered nearly every circumstance that had been complained about, painstakingly explaining that the buyer must check everything carefully, may need to clean the carb, must change the oil before starting, the "toolkit" is lame, etc. I looked at the prices and thought, "I'm reasonably handy with a wrench, I'll take the plunge."
I called to order, and that was quick and easy, but everyone else said that too.
I soon had emails from ScooterDepot and from ABF (the freight company) that my scooter was on the way. It came as promised, at the time promised, and the driver helped to drag the crate up my driveway into my garage. The MSO arrived in the mail the following day. I braced myself: what's going to be in this box? Tearing away the cardboard, I was pleased to find it was the model and color I'd ordered. Over the next couple of evenings, I went over everything with a fine-toothed comb: bolts, wiring, fuel lines, lights. Yes, there were no instructions. Yes, there were a couple of loose bolts. Yes, a couple of parts were different from what was pictured on the website. Yes, there were a couple of MINOR scratches very near bolt-holes. It turns out it is literally a 2011 model-year scooter. I filled and installed the battery, changed the oil, and adjusted the rear brake.
Finally, time to add fuel and see what really happens. After a couple of tries, getting the carb filled up, sure enough, it started and ran, flawlessly. I've put 25 miles on it, getting the engine broken-in, and so far everything is great.
Oh yes, there was a problem with the MSO: the VIN was missing the last digit. I called, again, bracing myself. They did hang up on me once, but the second time I called, they apologized profusely, and said they'd get a new MSO out to me the next day. About a week later, it arrived, and it was correct.
Fair is fair - these people supplied me with a cute, great scooter at a fantastic price, and I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

wanted a sport bike from these guys but man, this company was to good to be true, thanks for the reviews on this guys really. i would have been 2,000$ broke. but does any1 know where i can a triumph street fighter for 7,000 or less?

I purchased a 150cc unit from this company 20 September 12 and as of 20 October 12 it is a piece of crap. The thing only has 32 miles on it and the company is unwilling to fix, replace or refund. I am going to try and file a despute with the credit card company but from the reviews it seems i am stuck with a piece of crap and the bill.

My scooter came straight off the truck broken. They know how to get you. Pre inspection! HEH! Its been 2 months, and its never seen the road. 1000 dollars I saved over summer, gone. And no return policy? Thats good for them since they can send you anything they want and your stuck with it. Like I even know how to mail a scooter back to them. This is ruined the last 2 months of my life. I want to ride up to California and just punch them all in the face. Josh in parts especially. I cant focus on anything except this broken scooter. It is litterally the worst decision of my life to buy something from Scooter depot.

Yes I have had problems with my 150cc but not to the extent that I am reading. I have found the parts and tech support to be of great help. Even if you buy a "brand bike" you're going to have problems don't be too quick to judge them, they will help but they want to be yelled at, swore at, and told they don't know what they are doing. Work with them and see how they are really like.

They have a cancellation policy they don't tell you about until AFTER THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY. They claim its on their Web site, but they advertise in the phone directory, so you don't know about it.
They're a bunch of shysters. Do not do business with them!

if its any consolation I just purchased 3 3 wheeler 150cc from them,,i guess times changed, I had excellent service, a part was missing, got it 3 days later, they were delivered on time,, I called customer service with several questions, they answered them then directed me to several instruction videos on you tube they produced,, of course this is a year and a half later from these posts,, so I guess maybe they cleaned up there act

I bought my scooter in May & rode it ALL summer with NOT one problem. I live in New York & it was delivered as promised. My husband put what had to be together on it.
It's sad that other people have had such difficulties with there purchases.
I would buy from them again.
