I’d just ask you to keep four things in mind: Justice Scalia just turned 78, Justice Kennedy will turn 78 later this year, Justice Breyer will be 76 in August, and Justice Ginsburg turned 81 [March 15th]. We wish them all well, of course, but the brute fact is that whoever we elect as president in November is almost certainly going to choose at least one and maybe more new members of the Supreme Court — in addition to hundreds of other life-tenured federal judges, all of whom will be making momentous decisions about our lives for decades to come. If you don’t think it matters whether the guy making those calls is Mitt Romney or Barack Obama, I think you’re smokin’ something funky.
So for anybody who is thinking of not voting because your favorite didn’t get nominated, or writing in a candidate who can’t win... Imagine this: Supreme Court Justice Eric Holder or Hillary Clinton.

(Not) Shocking: Obama picks socialist as Medal of Freedom honoree
Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 2:49 PM CDT

Dolores Huerta is not shy about her socialist beliefs. She’s heaped public praise on the work Hugo Chavez is doing by socializing Venezuela and wonders why America isn’t following the same path (wait…we aren’t?) Huerta has said that “Republicans hate Latinos” and has no problem with illegal immigration. So, of course, she’s a great pick for the Presidential Medal of Freedom …if your President happens to be a socialist.

That’s right, Dolores Huerta can now add one more bullet to her resume. Thanks to President Obama she has been awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

It would be a HUGE understatement to say Glenn wasn’t exactly thrilled about this, as he told listeners about the President’s honoree. Glenn has been lambasted by the mainstream media for daring to describe President Obama as a socialist.

When given the facts, Glenn would argue that the mainstream media should be lambasted for calling the President anything but a socialist, and for completely ignoring and/or avoiding his radical ties. His latest slogan,“Forward,” has been used throughout history in socialist and communist regimes, he’s appointed multiple known socialists and communists along with those that praise them to his cabinet – Carole Browner, Van Jones, and Anita Dunn just to name a few – and now, he’s honored an honoree chair of the Democratic Socialists of America with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

“So you have some idea of who has received this in the past, it has been Billy Graham, Pope John Paul, Gordon B. Hinckley, Mother Teresa, Neal Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, Jackie Robinson, Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, Friedrich Hyack, Bill Cosby, Ansel Adams, Frank Sinatra, B.B. King, John Wayne, Walt Disney, Charlton Heston, Bob Hope, Jimmy Stewart, Norman Rockwell, and Dolores Huerta – the honoree chair of the Democratic Socialists of America,” Glenn said,“A woman who has bashed the United States as a nation that stole Mexican land, whose allegiance lies not with this country but with Mexico.”

After playing an audio clip of Huerta saying that “Republicans hate Latinos,” Glenn reminded listeners that President Obama was supposed to be ‘the great uniter’,“so he starts by giving the Presidential Medal of Freedom to a woman who says that Republicans hate Latinos?” Glenn asked.

But there’s more.

Huerta (speaking to Mexicans/Mexican Americans):“As we like to say, we didn’t cross the border, the border crossed us.
Huerta:“And we have a campaign that we rolled out – and we rolled it out here in the state of Texas deliberately, because we wanted the message to come home to the neighborhood, to the barrio, to the community. And it’s a program that we’re calling ‘We Can Help.’

Huerta (speaking in a commercial):“I’m Delores Huerta and I have a message for every hardworking farmworker: You deserve to get paid every dollar you earn, and have safe housing and transportation. This is the law. The U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division can help if there’s a problem. Whether your documented or not, the call is free and confidential.”

Huerta also had a lot of surprisingly great things to say about Hugo Chavez and what he’s doing down in Venezuela. She praised the cooperative farms, free medical and dental care, the free housing for the people (that Venezuela’s military commands their representative to provide).“We are the richest country in the world, right? So why can’t we do that in the United States? Republicans hate Latinos. Republicans hate Latinos,” Huerta said.

Glenn emphasized again that yes, Dolores Huerta, who praises socialist dictators like Hugo Chavez, is the Presidential Medal of Freedom Honoree.

Personally, as a Guy, I think Michelle is kind of hot, and know a lot of other guys that think so to (political issues aside) She appears to be in decent shape, and I doubt she’s got much fat. As a matter of fact, I bet she could crush your skull like the rotten melon it is, between her knees with ease. Since your motivated by appearances, how would you describe yourself? A perfect physical specimen, with an ugly ego? Please explain why your acquaintances call you “The Dome”?(clue – Go to the mirror, and look at your forehead)

what is it with liberals and hair cuts?
Reports have surfaced that President Barack Obama is very loyal to his barber. The President is a man of the common people, the report tells its listeners. He hangs out with regular folks, like his barber for example. The President has been using the same Chicago based barber, who goes by the name Zariff, for the past 17 years. According to German Public Radio, the President flies Zariff from Chicago to DC for a trim every two weeks. The president allegedly personally funds these trips. President Obama obviously also does not care much about the massive carbon footprint his haircuts are leaving on our planet which, we are told, is tipping precariously.

The German NDR reporter says:‘The barber never says a word about what they discuss. Perhaps that’s also a reason why Obama feels comfortable being around him. Otherwise he would not fly his barber in from Chicago to Washington every ten to 14 days.’

Transfer of More Wealth to the 1%
Governor Walker insisted the state was broke and justified denying public employees their fundamental freedom to collectively bargain in order to address the deficit. It is now clear that the deficit was exaggerated for political purposes, because massive new tax breaks for corporations and wealthy investors passed since January 2011 will cause an additional loss of nearly $2.4 billion in revenue to state government over the next 10 years.17 These new tax breaks were enacted despite the fact that two corporate-funded studies show:(1) that businesses in Wisconsin already pay less in taxes (income, property and sales taxes) than the national average; and (2) Wisconsin has the 4th lowest effective tax rate (taxes actually paid) in the country for new business investment.18 The following are some examples of new tax breaks for wealthy investors and corporations:
Re-opening a Corporate Tax Loophole. The Las Vegas Loophole was closed by former Governor Doyle by changing the way the corporate income tax is calculated. A system of “combined reporting” prevents multi-state firms from hiding profits in subsidiaries in states with no corporate income tax, like Nevada. Governor Walker modified combined reporting to partially reopen a loophole for corporations to use pre-2009 losses to offset profits for 20 years. This will cost taxpayers $46.4 million in fiscal years 2011-13 alone. This new corporate tax loophole does not require that a company create or retain a single job in order to qualify. The Department of Revenue is also prohibited from challenging certain corporate tax avoidance strategies.
Breaks for Rich Investors. There is a new exclusion from the income tax for capital gains reinvested in Wisconsin businesses within 180 days.(Capital gains are already taxed at a special lower rate than income earned through work. Most capital gains tax breaks benefit those with $200,000 or more in income.) This will cost taxpayers $36.3 million in fiscal years 2011-13 alone. Though this is an investment in Wisconsin firms, the tax break does not actually require that a company or investor create or retain even one job in order to qualify.
Still another new capital gains tax break is created for the rich who invest in Wisconsin-based businesses and hold those investments for at least five years, which will cost taxpayers $79 million in annual loss to the state’s treasury when it is fully phased in after 2017. This break does not require any job to be created or retained.
.
TaxTaxes Increased on Low-Income Wisconsinites
Homestead Tax Credit. Thousands of seniors will pay higher property taxes because the annual adjustment of the Homestead Tax Credit based on inflation is repealed. 20 This reduces the tax credit by $13.6 million in just the first two years. Nearly a third of people receiving this credit are at least 66 years old, and more than half of all recipients have less than $15,000 per year in income. More than 75,000 older Wisconsinites rely on the Homestead Tax Credit to help them afford to stay in their homes. This credit was pioneered in Wisconsin in 1964 to offset the cost of property taxes for modest-income residents, particularly the elderly and renters. Seniors—particularly those living solely on Social Security—will suffer the most from this cut.

So what you are saying is that under Gov Walker it is a great place to start a business. No wonder Illinois companies are coming here. They are screwed in Illinois. No end in sight. In Cook county alone, every person owes the government 88,000 dollars. In Wisconsin-nothing.

The program gives rebates to qualifying taxpayers earning $48,362 a year or less. Many pay no state income taxes--shouldn't every one have to pay something? how can this be? We have all these people not paying any state income tax and YET---you want to GIVE them money? Do you see the problem with this? This is why democrats need to go. Liberalism has never worked.

Oh let me guess about something. Did you hear about this? http://www.jsonline.com/business/beloit-billi...

That business owner in Beloit who was caught w/Walker on film discussing turning this state into a red state? She paid nothing in income taxes last year. I just KNOW you're not going to have a problem w/that whatsoever. Right? It's ok for the rich to milk the loopholes but god forbid a poorer person shouldn't be paying their taxes, right?

The company paid taxes of $373,671 for the second half of 2010, the records show.In addition, Bianchini provided records showing that the company paid Wisconsin income taxes of more than $1 million last year and said that Hendricks' 2011 income tax liability is "substantial." He declined to provide more specific information.

So widget--where is the zero at? you are a liar.

WE are going RED--but we are going to be in the BLACK-everyone should have to pay something in taxes and we have a substantial amount of people who aren't. I don't care if it is just a dollar. Poor people get more services than rich people do so where is the out-rage? Why can't they pay a small percentage then?
And if you knew any thing about Diane you would know that she gives more in charity than anyone else in the state also. Maybe you should attack her for that.

This is the most spammed rhetoric I have seen in recent history, almost as much as the last rhetoric the liberal communists democrats said in the last election, which was, if you disagreed 'you were called a racist'. This is what the unions get--on the tax payer dime. Really unions brought us public education? that failing system? you all should be fired. And you forgot to mention Affirmative action-the unions in Wisconsin are in violation of that-they have never met their quota.

We need a governor who is going to give us the Right to Work status.
