Deadly highway will slow down

Drivers along the notorious deadly US 2 in Snohomish County will soon have to slow down.

this just means that when a drunk driver or a distracted driver drives into the on-coming traffic they won't be going quite as fast as before. But they will still hit you head on! Instead of putting in left hand turn lanes and lowering the speed why don't they put a cable system in to help stop the cars from crossing the lane and going into on coming traffic? The concern here should be to keep cars from crossing into on coming traffic.

i agree candydesmoines!! i drive from gold bar to bothell everyday, and speed has nothing to do with all these accidents!!! after all, once the hwy is filled with cars, they're all going the same speed!!! unattentive drivers, dozing off, crossing the center line is the cause... the accident at the mcdonalds was not speed related in any way, shape, or form. the head on collision just east of monroe wasnt either. nor was the head on collision out here in december two years ago. it was driver error!! now my commutte is going to take even longer. but hey, its cheaper for the state to post new speed limit signs that it is to do anything else. not to mention all the new income from the additional speeding tickets. guess its all about the money after all.
