Another challenge looms for McBride
“I enjoyed serving on the council”
Bob McBride has lived most of his life in Mukilteo, running a successful insurance agency and serving his community with unflagging effort.
McBride, 76, has never been one to remain static. Soon (the tentative opening date is Sept. 1), Bob McBride and his son Mike will open a restaurant and bar in Monroe.
"Our specialty will be Sockeye Salmon," McBride says, "but there will be a large assortment of other fine meals on the menu."
The restaurant, to be called Sockeye's, will be located at 14090 Fryelands Boulevard SE in Monroe. Read more

Good luck Mr. McBride. Our experience at Sockeye's was absolutely horrible. The food took over an hour to get to us. The salad portion was minimal. Our food was cold. We drove 30 minutes home and my daughter vomited like she never has before. It's a great location & atmosphere, but that's not enough to bring us back.
