Time Warner Cable/RR terrible service

After 23 phone calls and each person not knowing what the other is doing, what kind of customer service does TW have?

I had no service for 15 days,they lost my account, could not return THEIR equipment, disconnected my service, hung up on me, no return calls........and the list grows.

Who can we complain too ?? And whats your horror story ..........

You are so right. TW customer support here in Middletown is a joke. The people are idiots and make you wait forever. They have you by the short hairs because they are the only cable company here.

I am pretty sure Time Warner Cable is bad everywhere. Their tech support is awful. It takes 10 minutes to get through their maze of a phone system. Then when you get a human being they transfer you and that takes a while. I don't know how many times I spent 2 minutes explaining a problem only to be transferred and having to explain everything all over again. TWC is a classic case of the right hand not knowing what the left is doing and not caring anyways.

Here's my story:
I bought TWC service. I set up a time for them to meet me so they could come out and set up a cable line to run into my house (4:00pm). They show up at 3:30pm and wonder why I wasn't there on time. I just took the blame for it.

The guy sets up the boxes and cables, says it works and leaves, and he says other people will be back in a few weeks to bury the cables outside in my yard.

It turns out he messed up the connection to my basement, so I have to call them (always a nightmare) to get them to come out and fix it. They come out and fix that problem.

More than a month passes and there is still a bright orange wire running right through my front yard (un-buried). I had to call them several times and always got the same answer ("They'll be out there really soon"). Finally they came out and buried the wire after a total of 1.5 months passed. Then I noticed the connection in my basement isn't working again all of a sudden. What a coincidence! I didn't want them to accuse me of breaking something so I didn't touch a thing, I just called them and requested they come out and fix whatever they broke. Of course, they didn't initially believe me that the burying team broke it.

After about a week they come out, and it turns out the cable burying idiots cut the cable that runs into my basement. And they clearly knew they cut it because they just buried the end of the cut cable underground about 5 inches so I wouldn't notice it immediately. So, the repair guy spliced that up and told me the cable burying people would be out in a few weeks to bury this other cable.

Winter came and went, the cable was still above ground (a black one this time, not bright orange, so not as terrible). I didn't even call them. I got my shovel and buried it myself. If you want it done right, hire anyone but Time Warner Cable.

I also forgot to mention they changed my bill incorrectly (overcharged us) once in between that whole mess, so I had to call them about that. I think sometimes they just increase the charges to see if you'll say anything about it.

Another time our cable was completely out on and off for 3 or 4 days so I called them to see what the deal was. After a 45 minute conversation (or should I say "series of transferred conversations") they eventually just transferred me to an automated America Online menu. I guess they were done helping me. Eventually the problem went away on its own, and I'm glad because I sure wasn't going to get help from them.

Conclusion:
TWC doesn't give a crap about anyone and they can get away with it because there are very few choices in service.

Me and my family got twc.(worst thing we ever done). We got the phone cable and internet.Everything worked for about 5-10 mins and then everything shut off so we thought it was rebooting.We waited for it to come back on.2 hr's later i go and get my neighbors phone and i called them and i told them that nothing was working.They said what did u do it was working after and before we left. They said hold please.They hung up on me so i tried to call back nobody answered so i waited and thought maybe it was an accident. Got back through to them and talked to them and the same thing happend. Finally I unhook everything and set it all back up again and it works.End of that storie.

A few months later everything works but the computer.(dont ask me how that works)So i called they gave me the run about do this do that.Did it and the computer still didnt work. They said well if we send a tech out there it will cost u. I said Ill Fuc**** fix the Sh** and i did. I called them and told them i fixed it. And they asked me if i wanted a job working as a person who talks on the phone..(HELL NO)

I have exchanged my converter box twice at the store and TW service has been to the house 3 times. Cable is still not fixed. Digital recorder has a mind of its own, never know when it will work. Now TW is offering free digital recorder to new customers when I cant get the service I am paying for.

It's the same down here. We are an RV Park who has tried to get a main line buried for almost two years. Have called ten times in just the past two months. Lots of promises, still no buried cable. Was even given a phone number to call back - guess what?- no answer.

change to cin bell if they are in your area you get a lot more chanel for a lot cheaper and thier custum service people go out of thier way to help you!!

Actually, I did this and it is not cheaper. By the time all the fees are tacked on and promotional time is over it is just as expensive. Plus they have their own set of problems. Take it from someone who knows. it ended up costing me more anyway due to Hookup and Installation fees. And service can be just as crappy. Both companys have their own set of problems.

I went to dish and will never look back, TW employees are untrained rude and will screw your bill up aknowledge it and claim they cant change it back, or will fix it only for it to reappear the next month,
there help wanted adds should read:
looking for lower educated people with a instant ability to be sarcastic and rude, must be able to lie on a whimm, with no remorse or second thought, prefer no ability to feel guilt!!

Well. Then you must live in a secluded area with no one around. Wake up dude! Just about everyone is an Obama supporter so I guess you sit alone in the dark by yourself and dont even eat because the company that makes the food you might be eating supports Obama. And NO, I am not an Obama supporter but ya have to live.

LOL I dont work for dish, but you or your family must work for TW if you have nothing but a positive
experience from them, you are one of the few, not the majority!!! so best of luck with that, by the ways forbed 500 has done a report on the top ten worse customer service companies in the USA every year for five years straight TW is in the top ten, now thats nationwide and all the millions of companies out there...So they must be nuts too.

We have had good Internet service for 60 days( new customer), but still have a cable laying in our back yard. Called service once. How many times do I need to call them?
