They say you don't really grow up until you lose the second parent. I am sorry you lost both in such a short period, now joining the ranks of us "orphans." It's very hard, but know that those wonderful memories will never be erased. Your parents sound wonderful and will always live through you and the next generation as well.
I spent my childhood in Suffern, too, and that was a magical time. Now I live with memories as well. Keep writing as you have. It will help you through this tough time. God bless.
