Review: Byrd's Soulfood Bar & Grill

I live in Charlotte,NC but my church is in Monroe. By far this is the BEST soul food restaurant, period. So much love is put into the cooking and the prices are unbeatable. Today was my first visit to the restaurant and I told the staff that they can expect to see us at one of our tables every Sunday, truly a family atmosphere<3

I went recently and had a plate of Hog Jowls, Sliced ham, Collard Greens, Black eyed peas, cole slaw, Hot corn bread with cracklins and Sweet Potato Pie with honey for dessert.
George had Fried Chicken with hot sauce, Collard greens, Lima beans, hot biscuits with butter and honey and Banana pudding for dessert
Mama had chiterlings with hot sauce, string beans, cole slaw, cornbread and Chocolate pie for dessert.
Mama said the chiterlings were real good but they only cook chitlins on Friday nights so if you want them you have to go on Friday night.
