I saw the "Closed" sign, a regular sheet of paper, taped to the door.

What happened?

Another one bites the dust? Can no business but a casino survive in this little place?

Just some paperwork. Loblolly's was not closed or fined by ALE. Bryan has been sick for the last few days and chose to close to make sure all paperwork is in order. could be open as soon as friday. Can't wait to party with everybody at the best hangout around. Loblolly's is the place everyone comes to have a great time with friends.

Chad, you need to tell the truth. ALE busted him for no license to operate. It will be very difficult for him to get one now. Consider Loblollies a fad that came and went really fast. You can't blame this on jealousy or people that called on him, tell him to try doing things legal and proper. Maybe just a clubhouse for the rif-raf of Marshville would work there, only no alcohol sales. Think they would hang around there then? Not even if GK started a brothel upstairs. hahahaha

thank you mr. knight but i was there. what i reported is exactly what happened. Loblolly's was operating legally they do need to have some other paperwork filled out. they will be handling that this week. the bar can open now but they chose to close so that they could make sure that everything was above board and no chances of problems in the future. if there had been anything illegal there would have been atleast fines and that did not happen. thank you.

A prosperous business, as some have said the business is doing sooo good, just doesnt close mid-week to do some paperwork, unless the paperwork was ordered before they reopen. They were shut down by ALE for NO license or maybe Brian didn't tell you the truth. Operating legally is no reason to close. Don't be an idiot.

Nobody with the proper license would close and lose money. Do you think people are that stupid? He wont last long if he indeed can even get the proper license. Ain't nothing but a hole in the wall, with a paper sign. Real classy. Reminds me of the group that sells food out of the little delapitated building in Margrets hood. Real clean and classy.

mr. knight i sat through the meeting. loblolly's was operating legally and does have to have some other paperwork done. there are rules in place that allow you to operate until you get the license. the ALE officer agreed. that is why loblolly's was not shut down. It was Bryan's decision to close and make sure there was know chance of any problems because ALE did get annoynomus phone calls to check the bar out. ALE did not fine, shut down, or anything else they just showed Bryan some paperwork that needed to be filled out and he is taking care of that this week.
Loblolly's does not know who called ALE on them and does not claim to know. If anybody claims to know they don't. The calls were annoynomus. Thank you to all our friends and see you soon.

Every one and there mother knew Bryan had no licence to sell beer, Thats why he had the little tiny donation signs posted up for beer. Heck I donated a dollar and the bartender said it was not enough.

Loblollys will reopen and soon have the financial and following of KnuckleHeads Pub ! Before you pull your head out of your ass and speak Mr. Marshville Knight....I bring to this town a following of nearly 2000 music fans that want a place other than Monroe and God forbid Charlotte to attend musical venues. Plans are already in motion to include an outdoor music venue to coincide with the Pub ! ALL LICENSE and PERMITS are complete or in process. Bands have been contacted and ALL look forward to contributing to our cause. Bands from Kentucky, Georgia, and Tennessee are onboard.

Loblollys will reopen under the current name and ownership on Wednesday of next week. Joint ventures will resume after that !

For those that DONT KNOW me, Im Jeff Cook. I hold two degress(B.S Emergency Care and B.S Criminal Justice)and have worked in public safety for 25 years now. I drink beer, listen to rock, and am the proud owner of 21 tattoos !I vote, shake hands with the poor and rich, and prefer spending my Friday nights sitting by a bondfire sipping Jack with friends ! I recently built a home in Marshville and have all intentions of growing very old here. I have work nearly two years establishing myself in the entertainment industry and the time has now come to give the people what they want. I hope that everyone will take the opportunity to invest in Marshvilles future and growth ! Join us for a beer and some great musical entertainment - COMING SOON !
Thank You

jUST LOOKED AT TOPIX AND LEARNED THAT I AM PARTNERS AT lOBLOLLY'S. I AM SOLE OWNER OF LOBLOLLY'S AND TO MY KNOWLODGE CHAD HAS NOT BOOKED ANY OUT OF STATE BANDS. I DO APPRECIATE THE SUPPORT OF JEFF COOK AND THE KNUCKLEHEADS CREW. BUT TO SAY WE ARE REOPENING IN A JOINT VENTURE IS NOT SO. LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING EVERYONE NEXT WEEK.
