The people in Monroe need to take this city back away from the drug dealers that are killing our sons and daughters, our family members and friends.

Yes, it does appear that way when you consider its not just there, you can to the corner of 3rd & Winchester, 4th & Winchester, Front & Winchester, Kentucky Ave., ect, ect, ect......The drug dealers dont seem to be afraid of getting caught at all...Maybe something will get done when it affects a Monroe City Council Members immediate family.

Try calling the police to report drug activity i have. They say that they cant send an officer out becouse they mite be interfearing with a posiable on going investigation. So i can watch a crime take place and they do nothing but threaten me if i do something about it. I am no vigulanty but i am tired of the drugs how long do the police have to do nothing before i can.?.?

I think a neighborhood watch needs to be started in several areas in Monroe..I've heard from a number of people that Hidden Trails Aparments is also infested with drugs, mainly heroin.

Ya but if you call in drug activty as neighborhood watch will you get the same responce from the police. I have never been a drugy but some of my family and life long friends have been and becouse of them i know where a lot of the drugs come from and i still cant get the police to do anything. I know alot of dealers and even more users. When my stuff gets stolen and sold to a dealer for drugs the police wont go get it i even told them i know its there becouse the dealer knows me and tried to sell it back but still the police threaten me if i was to go take it back.

I am so sorry for your losses, your friends, family and your possessions have been taken from you & there seems to be no collective effort in Monroe to stop this from happening (and it happens way more often here than it should). Monroe seems to be the place where people go to do whatever they want to do and get away with it now...I dont know what the answer is that will start a change here....

I agree with you,and I wish it wasn't that way. Someone in Monroe,(or A LOT of people in Monroe), i.e. city police, drug unit, sheriff, ect... have dropped the ball when it comes to stopping the drugs & crime.

Ask the Iron Coffins.
And the Police that count themselves members.
At the hospital I've watched it get worse and worse.
Monroe is a cesspool and will continue to spiral. Dealers from Toledo and Detroit meet in Monroe to make sales.
Time to move on. This city is doomed.

I stop there in Monroe a lot when coming to mi. to see the tigers ,lions ,etc. I only go as far as the pilot gas place and also saw the war memorial . but let me say here in eastern ky. pain killers such as oxy's are a huge problem and now we are seeing heroin . so just letting you know Monroe is ok . all towns are going thru this .

Our Neighborhood Watch program has been running since Sept 2015 and drugs/crime has dropped 80%.
