My sister is thinking about moving to Monroe Michigan and I was wondering if anyone could tell me a little about Monroe,the schools and neighborhoods.

I grew up in Newport and it is a small quiet area. There are some areas in Monroe that are not the best. Would not live in the E front stree area by the RR tracks.

I grew up in newport also and went to jefferson schools. they are alot better than Monroes schools. Find ya a small neighbor hood but like the post above me stay out of the east side front street and over. but the jobs there are slim to none that are worth anything. so keep that in mind too. i moved outta monroe 4 years ago and i was a good choice. cost of living is higher too. good luck!
