We need to build six nuke plants in this state to save coal for gasoline production.

HE visits power plants and oildericks because the latest topic is energy . But yet the Bush administration has yet to decasify the energy sessions that Chaney held at the start of the first administration.Just like Bush he choses to talk only to friendly crowds.WHat Michigan needs is jobs outsourcing has ruined the nation.let him go to some of the factories and speak. Better yet go to unemployment offfice and speak.Higher energy cost is the result of out sourcing of jobs.

I'm sure this verbage confused many as it is not heard much... I hope this helps:

Politicians on the campaign trail are said to be stumping, as they cross the country delivering speeches and attending rallies. A stump speech, the linchpin of stumping, is designed to persuade audiences to support a candidate, through voting and campaign donations. Stumping is also sometimes used in other contexts, but usually refers to the political sense. Stumping is accompanied by long tradition, with most candidates hiring specific staff members to write and refine speeches, and a substantial portion of campaign funds being used to support stumping trips.

It is theorized that the term “stumping” came about because a stump provides a useful platform to stand on while speaking. Especially in rural areas, candidates could be seen head and shoulders above a crowd while they spoke if standing on a stump

He and Obama can visit Michigan all they want,
I still will not vote for either one. They
do not have what it takes to be president.

I wish there was a better choice (or even more choices) as well. Because I am Pro-Life and thinks McCain has more experience, he will earn my vote. I do wish there were more choices though....

I'm sorry but I think voting Republican because you are Pro-Life is an extremely stupid reason! What have they done to stop abortions since it was legal 35 years ago??? It still happens. 23 of those years were Republican-held administrations.

Besides I really think that most of "Pro-Life" people are two-faced. It became clear to me when my friend's mother who had the sticker on her car, voted Republican for that reason, etc., but when her little daughter (who was 18) got pregnant from her boyfriend, not only did the sticker come off, but she held her daughter's hand as she took her to the clinic to have an abortion!

P.S. Barbara Bush and Laura Bush are "Pro-Choice" so it shouldn't be a "Republican" thing!

We need more nuclear weapons and we need to use them soon. Good old-fashioned carpet-bombing would also work. The 'fire-bombing' like 1945 Tokyo is also an effective manner of ridding Earth of undesireables. The United States whould turn the entire middle east into one large ashtray.

I very much agree that we do not have much of a choice for President of the U.S. I know of a someone who probably has his name up for president and that is Bob Barr. Maybe we have to vote for a non=partisan . Better than what we have running that is for sure.. Kinda scared of where this country is going. I agree with "The Binkman"

Last I heard Ron Paul was not in race. Brownback, either. How about Nader? He your man? Someone else running I am not aware of? You will help pay for one of their salaries, secret service guard detail, White House maintenance, etc. You don't vote it is your choice. Just don't carp about it.

There are Bob Barr for President, or Chuck Baldwin for President. Would you really throw your vote to a lesser of two evils rather than vote third party?

Ron Paul could very well but not likely win the nomination in St Paul. Lincoln did it and he was not the presumptive nominee. Republican national dlegates need to pull their heads outta their butts and realize ole Johnny boy is not a Republican no matter how many red coats he tries to wear.

I don't consider this election a lesser of 2 evils. We have a choice for the 1st time in 8 yrs. 3rd party candidates, unfortunately, have up to this point been damaging in elections. I respect your opinion & see your point, but..... Protest votes are good, they make you feel better, but what is the end result? At least you vote. That is a wonderful thing. Keep it up!

mccain lies when he says nuclear power is safe. Truth is nuclear leaks are happening around the world and the accumulation of nuclear waste is escalating. That old wrinkly white haired guy is bad news. since he has begun his campaign of lies we dont hear much of the straight talk express. Now he has signs and ads saying country first. Which country would that be? israel? iraq? remember his other half is a corporation worth millions.

What is it with you libs? We can't drill for new oil, we can't build more refineries, we can't build more nuke plants - what the heck can we do?

And then you blame Bush for high gas prices. This country has not built any new refineries/nuke plants in 30 years.

Even the fricking founder of GreenPeace now says nukes are the way to go. The Euro's, the ones you want us to become more like, have nukes all over the place.

I got a solution for you libs - let's make a deal. For every 1 barrel of nuke waste we store, energy companies by 100 carbon credits.

Wouldn't that make it okay?

Your just nuts, you wanna drill go ahead there is 68 million acres leased and ready. Use it! Build more refineries nobody is stopping you except the voices in your head that have you brainwashed. We libs are like minded with the founding fathers of this country. you conservative communists are the ones telling everybody what they can and cant do. Your just completely wrong if you think I want to be like the euros. For ever 1 barrel of nuke waste we add in a republican before it is sealed and stored and you may be close to a deal. Dirty oil and dirty nuclear waste is the only neocon idea and they both suck. I guess its not all bush's fault after all the real idiots to blame are the ones who voted for him.

There's no one stopping us from drilling and building more refineries? ARe you insane?

"Dirty oil and dirty nuclear waste is the only neocon idea and they both suck."

That's rich. So what are the liberal ideas? Atleast our ideas are based around proven energy means.

You liberals are still in an R&D mode trying to fnd a replacement for Oil - which one is it going to be today? Wind? Solar? Bio Fuel? Electricity? You have no idea - no one does. So let's based some energy policy around all of them because one of them will surely work right? And then blame the sitting President of an "energy crisis".

Oh and that's very funny - liberals are more inline with our Founding Fathers? Yea - your right, our Founding Father wanted to create a nanny state where everyone looks for the Fed Govt to solve all our problems. That's funny. Almost as funny as calling me a conserative communist.

Very inteligent commrade.
