This topix is about wine.I looked it up,the church of Christ, the Robertson church is against consuming any alcoholic drink.also goes on to explain that there are 2 Greek words interpreted as wine , one means juice from the grape.so do not assume that every one who drank wine was drinking alcohol .

It's called reactionary gauging. Just throwing words out there for public reaction. I use it for a specific purpose.

It’s both fair, as well as prudent, to understand and question everything – and anything – in this space. Even though you may be looked at as some “doubting Thomas” or worse, "some crazy, insane social illiterate.” Even an internet troll, however it's a work in progress and all falls into place and my business associates get it. For if you’re going to put both your hard-earned money, as well as your time, and more importantly, reputation into this endeavor, understanding these gauges along with the ability to read them correctly, then use them accordingly isn’t always comprehended as making sense. It’s called business.

And being an entrepreneur should demand that they be treated as such.

The stalking comment wasn't asking if it's OK to stalk. It was a reply to your statement when you followed me down to another post under the one in which you originally replied. It was in jest.

Yep, I think Jase is nice looking, but I also think that some of my clients are, also. I'm not blind or in the obits yet. He's put himself out there. Can't have a thin skin.

Do you think that they will be selling grape juice? I'm not being sarcastic, just wondering how that would go over with buyers is all.

Nope ,they are selling wine with alcohol .my point is everyone who wants to drink or sell alcohol always says , Jesus drank wine.its false.and if you are a Christian ,you have no spiritual amen for drinking.and if you are profiting from the sale of wine you are out of Gods will.plain and simple .if anyone chooses they can look it up ,I did.

Walmart is selling it. I have never seen wine at a Walmart. I didn't realize there were scratch off lottery tickets they have endorsed until I stumbled across a rant from someone who is totally against it. I'm curious to see what is next.

My church uses real wine for the Eucharist.

I looked it up too in my handy dandy Condordance and three versions of the Bible.

You're full of crap.

My church uses grape juice and communion bread for our communion service.we also do not support gambling .i am not against other churches .if they are for us they are not against us.I do have a problem with Christians saying it's ok to drink.we must be protective of our witness.I love the sinner, but not the sin.

I found this, Lola:

There are many today professing a faith in Jesus, who look to His drinking of wine to support their excessive drinking. Yet, Jesus’ drinking of wine is presumed upon the occurrence of the word “wine” for grape juice throughout the Bible. Jesus never drunk distilled wine. Distilling wine had not yet been invented. Actually, Jesus was accused of being a “wine-drinker” from the Greek oinopoteis, because He came freely eating and drinking grape juice unlike John the Baptist, who restricted his eating and drinking (Matt. 11:18-19, Luke 7:33-34). Yet, when we consider the wedding that Jesus attended in Cana, Jesus’ institution of the Lord’s Supper, and Jesus’ life, then Jesus’ drinking of wine is not what many think.

And also the reference to "wine" as being the "blood" of the grape. Also, distilling wine was not yet invented. Never thought about that. Interesting. It would have probably gone sour if they left it out to ferment.

I live in the same parish as the duck dynasty clan. I.also active member of Church of Christ here in West Monroe.,La I am a Christian first and foremost. These people know ALL of the local curch members do not approve of selling any kind of alcohol.I am ashamed for them. They stood up against homosexuality, then they turn around and sell alcohol for money.,That is called a sellout. All of the older families that formed the basic core of what Church of Christ is and stands for are most assuredly got them very sad and disappointed at what the DUCK DYNASTY CLAN HAS DONE TO THE CHURCH.FOR SHAME ON ALL OF YOU ROBERTSON FAMILY.

I see your point, sin is sin. Why stand against one and not the other?i am sorry your church has been judged by this.stay strong ,god sees all.

I have to agree with you. This goes against the piliminary ideology of the original thesis of the whole idea on which the family was based on. What started out as a good wholesome initiative has developed into a monetary complacency. It's not what I would advise for anyone who has chosen to live by righteousness. Let's see how it washes out.o

I am not gay, but have learned to not judge them, especially based on Biblical readings. Things written in the Bible thousands of years ago can have changed with the changing of meanings of words. I just don't judge others. That's Gods job. Note though that I do not "hang out" with them. It would be uncomfortable. I have two lesbian neighbors and only wave from the car.

They're jumping the shark due to over exposure. The PR department is grasping as straws to come up with another gimmick. There truly is no such thing as bad publicity. They seem to be out in full visibility in the community. Most people in their position with a popular TV series pack their bags and head for Hollywood. I don't think that will ever happen with their family.

It might just me me, but the show seems to be getting a little crude. Talking about bodily functions and toilet humor. I was working from home, had the show on and was eating a sandwich. I ended up having to throw my food in the trash. I need some brain bleach now. I won't ever watch them again whilst eating.

Well many other denominations disagree.

But it is a healthy choice and yours to make. Freedom of religion is great, innit?

Well, I hope you don't leave us, believe it or not.

Did you watch DD last night? That was the episode I was referring to. Good Grief. I'm not a prude, but, geesh, I wonder if they talk like that at their dinner table. I actually read bits and pieces about some incidences that were written by a former associate on the show concerning the fact that they were indeed crude. I thought...no....sour grapes, but I wonder. Thinking back, I did see a fair amount of subtle sexual references, but it was subliminal. Call me crazy, but I wanted to research what was happening. It is happening and in my work I've seen it frequently.
I found it's working on people, subconsciously, typically, to keep them interested. The Hawaiian vacation season finale was a perfect example. They are now on the other side of the bell curve. Oh well, I'll still watch Pawn Stars. At least people bring in some interesting items.

Grandmother? You must be a young Grandmother. Keep watching out for your grandchildren. Bless you!~Maggie

I'm very disappointed in this family and show. My family and I were so excited finally a clean family show on tv. But they have slowly become wordly. My family noticed the vineyard and that sparked a lot of questions in my children. We don't approve of alcohol. They are sending a confusing message, and if you research:a church actually cancelled them for a speaking engagement due to this. I'm glad they took a stand. We can sugar coat or put a spin, or misinterpret anything to make it seem ok. But we all know better and if not do your hard core research and you will see. And yes there are more and more sexual comments being made. Makes me wanna vomit. So I'm done with this show. Seems it's more about fame and fortune. Nothing wrong with making a good living but don't lower your standards for money.

I love the Old Man on Pawn Stars. And Chumlee, too. They are a hot mess. I like Storage Wars, also. Barry Weiss is funny.

I haven't seen Phil say anything around the girls. I haven't noticed Willie, Si or Jep say much.
