The bigots are in an uproar about this one. Hilarious how they see THEMSELVES as victims when they get criticized for spewing out their hate.

Nobody is saying that he doesn't have the right to say what he said. But when you say something hateful and stupid, there are often consequences.

Would the reaction be any different if he said something just as hateful and stupid about black Americans or Jewish Americans or Muslim Americans or any other minority group in the U.S.?

Hateful and stupid??? It's my opinion that what he said is the truth. Stupid is thinking there is a coincidence, Gods in charge of everything-everywhere, all the time.

I agree 100%!!! We have a right as Americans of freedom of speech but we can't talk anymore without someone being offended even when there's no harm intended. I almost feel like gay rights are being forced on people and that's not right!! Everyone has an opinion and Mr. Phil is entitled to that as well!! There's a lot more going on in this world that needs to be focused on instead of Gays and their rights and who don't agree with it.

What is someone said exactly the same thing about Christians? Or Jews? Or black people? Would you still "stand and support" that person?

So God is responsible for The Black Death, The San Francisco Earthquake, and World War II ? I guess when someone is murdered, we shouldn't put the accused on trial because God is responsible for that, right ?

What did he say that was hateful? All he said was that he finds women more attractive than men. How is that hateful?

And because he finds women more sexually attractive than men, and said it, he got fired. Welcome to the USofGAY!

He did say the same thing Christians, Jews, blacks and everyone else. There are gay Christians, Jews and blacks. They weren't excluded.

satan and sin go hand in hand and judgement will be done. You left out a few like Sodom and Gamorah and the plagues of Egypt.

The bible also says that all women are to remain "SILENT" in a church. For women who preach or sing in the choir or do other things in their congregation that requires them to speak, do you also include them in the "sinners who will not see the Kingdom Of Heaven", because they are flagrantly and directly and willingly disobeying that biblical command ?

True, and occasionally we read about some of the gay pastors and gay priests in the news.

Wrong... The Holy Spirit will not allow a Christian to participate.

Yes, the pastor of my church on Long Island rode with Dykes On Bikes each year in the New York Gay Pride Parade, and she was often interviewed in the local newspapers about it.

Really?? Can you support that claim with reality? Things that exist only in your imagination don't count as support.

And you're welcome to believe that. Just as we are welcome to NOT believe it.

And guess what?? Mr. Robertson is ALSO free to believe it and talk about it and preach it and whatever else he wants to do about it.

But he has to learn, just like all the rest of us, that with freedom of speech comes responsibility for that speech. A&E's major source of revenue is advertising dollars. That means when a reality TV star starts spouting off with things that are going to make the advertisers no longer wish to be associated with that program, it could potentially cost A&E *millions* in ad revenue.

Freedom of speech and freedom of religion don't come with guarantees of freedom from consequences for your speech and for espousing hateful religious beliefs. Freedom of speech only protects you from the government. It doesn't protect you from losing your job if you publicly embarrass the employer that's signing your multi-million-dollar paychecks.
