actual news say otherwise about the gun.
And yes you can do many things to prevent the access and amount of damge done.
And you are a fool. Schools are made gun free zones to prevent school shootings yet it is a total failure. Laws were passed to prevent guns on planes and infringed on rights to do so yet it produced 9/11. When are you going to wise up and realize removing a basic right does nothing to stop crime but only makes it worse for the victims? Crime and murder happens even under the most strict environments like prisons and dictator run countries. Dis arming the people just increases the victim count. You know all this yet you refuse to acknowledge facts and history. I know you want to support your boy but being a fool is not going to change the minds of people with an IQ above 3.

Gun owners are not full of hate. We simply wish to protect our rights from those control freaks like you who wish to infringe on us and place our lives in danger for some miss placed belief that you have the power to force your will upon us. You are the ones doing the attacking, we are simply defending whats ours. Mentally you don't have a case.

..........With all the misinformation that exists on this case the guns being stolen from the Mother is one consistency. They were bought legally but we don't know if they were locked up or not. I'd like to know what you consider "actual" news.

Gabrielle Giffords was named Legislator of the Year by the Mental Health Association of Arizona in 2004.

The modern era of psychiatry is usually said to have begun with the introduction of Thorazine into asylum medicine in 1955. This kicked off a “psychopharmacological revolution,” or so our society is told, with psychiatry discovering effective drugs for mental disorders of all kinds. In 1988, the first of the “second-generation” psychiatric drugs--Prozac--was introduced, and these new drugs were said to represent another therapeutic advance. Yet, even as this “psychopharmacological revolution” has unfolded over the past 50 years, the number of people disabled by mental illness has soared.

In 1955, there were 355,000 adults in state and county mental hospitals with a psychiatric diagnosis. During the next three decades (the era of the first generation psychiaric drugs), the number of disabled mentally ill rose to 1.25 million. Prozac arrived on the market in 1988, and during the next 20 years, the number of disabled mentally ill grew to more than four million adults (in 2007.)

Finally, the prescribing of psychiatric medications to children and adolescents took off during this period (1987 to 2007), and as this medical practice took hold, the number of youth in America receiving a government disability check because of a mental illness leapt from 16,200 in 1987 to 561,569 in 2007 (a 35-fold increase.)

MENTAL HEATH = DRUG PUSHING AND BIG $$$$

Psychiatry almost killed me. Stay away from those "happy pills" and all the rest of psychiartic fraud. The pills MAKE people sick and crazy.
