If I was another day care in Monroe or surrounding area, I would have a problem with this so called business getting special treatment.
It seems that Monroe politicians are more concerned about employee perks then the taxpayers.
Since when do we allow use of government buildings for supposedly private businesses?
Or is the government now in the day care business?

The town has to pay to mothball the building. Isn't it better for them to get rent from various groups to put towards the taxes. Of course, this all could have been decided sooner instead of leaving all the families up in the air about their children's day care. I guess Vavrek finally figured out....he's not too bright.. that the daycare would be a feather in his cap for the upcoming election! I don't trust his motives on this.

If Taxpayers are subsidizing this scheme then Taxpayers should have access to it - NOT just a certain few unions.

Personally I don't believe that we should be providing this perk at all. If ANYONE wishes to find another job that does they are free to go.
If there is no cost the taxpayers then why use a town building? But If we are going to supply the space then ALL town residents should have access to this service.
Any politician that support this is placing employees needs ahead of the needs of the taxpayers.
Can anyone show me a list of town governments that provide daycare for its employees?
