Has anyone heard about the movie being filmed here in Pittsburgh called 'Monongahela'? Pretty cool that someone decided to make a movie about this place!

They were going to base the movie on true life events and decisions at the school board but Dumb and Dumber has already been covered.....

They have a great set building to use at MEC - atleast it would be getting some use.

2nd State Productions now casting for independent feature film "MONONGAHELA"

Characters being cast:

KATE: female lead. 20 to 30 years old. Journalist at KPGH who isn't very good at meeting deadlines.

MICK: Male. 20-30. British accent, very confident and charming.

BEN: Male. 30-50 years old. British accent. Mick's best friend.

Loud and animated, drunk most of the time yet passionate about their research.

MANDI: Female. 20-30 years old. Kate's assistant at KPGH.

SHAWN: Male. 20-30 years old. Camera man at KPGH.

CHARLIE: Male. 30 to 50 years old. Conspiracy theorist.

PRODUCTION DATES:All shoots will be scheduled over the next few months for interior- dates to be determined in the spring for exterior.

PLEASE EMAIL HEAD SHOT & RESUME

WE WILL EMAIL YOU TO ARRANGE AN AUDITION

Compensation: TBD-Meals provided. Copy of final work. Transportation/Gas reimbursement.

SYNOPSIS:

Kate Walsh misses her flight and blows yet another assignment and is fired. She goes to a bar at the airport and meets two men who have just arrived in Pittsburgh to follow up on some reported sightings of a mysterious creature in the Monongahela river. The last day of Kate's media career is the first day of a life changing adventure as she gets swept up in an investigation that quickly becomes a race to discover what is lurking beneath the surface of the Monongahela river before it claims human lives.

Look no further! Mayor Kepics would make an excellent Ben..Officer in command Tempest will do fine as Charlie and there could be endless possibilities for what or who could be lurking beneath the surface of the Monongahela river!
