Merger is great!! Is that not what Christ is all about? Not buildings. Only complaint is if they can afford two buildings can we give less?

Not saying the merger is wrong but the way they are handling things with combining the different parts of the churches is wrong. There are alot of people from st. anthonys not happy because all they have done was take what they do at transfiguration and bring it up to st. anthonys. There were no discussions about it. Now if these changes to St. anthonys are because of what the priest likes he should state that, even though I have hear he is more partial to Transfiguration. But if the priest stated these are the way he likes things it may help with how the St. Anthony people feel. They were suppose to try and make this merger smooth, well I dont think it was handled that way at all and there are alot of hurt feelings.

From what I hear the new priest has been doing a fantastic job. There is no longer a Transfiguration or St. Anthony's they are non existent. We now are St. Damien's. We all are members of the same parish. Rumor on the street is that he is partial to St. Damiens. I think it is time that everyone moves on and focus on the word of God. What would Jesus do?

..When you post a comment concerning the church with words like "I hear" and "Rumor on the street" makes me wonder if you have any idea what your talking about.

After what I've seen! No way in Hades do I accept this! This is not a merger it is a hostile take over of St Anthonys by Transfiguration and the diocese! Get this fact straight St Anthonys is on the ropes but not out of the fight! Got it Diocese and Transfiguration!!!!!!!!!!

Someone needs to find Jesus. This is not a win lose battle between buildings. You are creating problems that do not exist. St. Anthonys is gone as well as Transfiguration. Saint Damiens is the parish that we belong to together. Fight? There is no fight. From what I see everyone is getting along very well. The people from both parishes are very good Catholic Christians and are coming together. What would Jesus do?

Timmy you would make a great lawyer. Everything is not as you say it is. Not every one is for this as you would have everyone believe. St Damien is a great Saint but this situation was crammed down our throats. With out takeing into consideration what this decision would do two both parishes.Peace has not been made with all church members and the past! St Anthonys came about as a direct result of the irish german church not accepting italians, slavs, spanish etc etc etc!
