Former Ram

What's the word on the Rams Football team this year? How is their camp going? How did they do in their scrimmage Saturday?

I'm asking in a serious fashion and would like only serious responses. Those who have never played but like to b*t%h and moan about the team with clueless rhetoric please remain silent.

I did play for the Rams years back and now live abroad. I am interested in how they are looking this year. I know there are new coaches ect.....

I heard that their are issues between the players and the new head coach. I also heard that quite a few have already quit the team?

I also live outside the area. I am currently relying on second hand information. Like yourself I am also curious about the team and what they look like this year. When did you play former Ram? I played in the late 80's.
whatever

I have heard that all the negative issues are because of the head coach. He was not the right choice and the team will be the ones to pay for that.

I have heard the same! They DON'T like the head coach! He was not the right person for this, but once again Ringgold does what they want! Head coach and prinipal get along good though so that is what the principal wanted. Thumbs down.

You could be right or wrong but the players do not have to like him. Kids need to respect authority of the head coach not challenge it. I don't know this guy but I think he may deserve a chance. Ringgold ran a top notch coach out of there a while ago because he did not start a school board member's son. If kids do not like him I would be interested in why. For example if it is because he is tough and disciplined then good for him. The kids today are catered to too much they need more discipline. It is not the kids privledge to pick a coach. Kids need to learn to stick things out not to be quitters because they don't like something

According to two different newspaper reports (The Valley Independent and The Observer Reporter), he has been suspended. He did not coach their second game (a win). But, as usual, the District won't say why because of "litigation" which I can only assume means that someone sued someone.

No. According to The Observer Reporter, the reason behind his suspension was "insubordination."

Ringgold never discloses the reasons behind staff disciplinary action. So we're left to speculation, gossip, and rumors. I've heard one story, but won't spread it here until I hear the same from other sources, or at least find out more about it. IMHO, as taxpayers and as parents, I believe we have the right to know.
