At one time I was deeply opposed to a merger with the other Catholic church in town! But now that has all changed I hope St anthonys gets shut down and there assets confiscated! Why? Because of some unsavory characters I've come across from there the last couple of years!A friend of mine donated a large sum of money for a project over the course of the last year and a half!Well the money is gone but my friend can't get any answers as to why or when this project will be completed! This bothers me because my friend always wanted to do something for the parrish and now that things have gotten out of hand he is questioning his catholic faith and I don't want this person to become bitter and leave the faith yet part of me understands why because over the years I to have seen some funny things and some in our parrish get treated like garbage!I pray that the wrongs commited by certain people will be made right! But I have a feeling nothing will be done to correct this and other problems! All I can say is I pray that our Lord and Saviour JESUS CHRIST will comfort my friend and have mercy for those that have done wrong will be shown mercy.

Huh? You have to be kidding!
So you are letting something a 'friend' said about money that was donated, change your faith?
Either you're making this up or the story the 'friend' is telling you is weighed toward his favor. Why not go see Father Joe and ask him about it? Or this POS forum is more to your liking?

I wonder why this matter is not being looked into something smells fishy and I'm not talking about a fish fry either.

Pray for shit, you won't get that either.
Open your mouth, that always works.

You may as well go talk to F_Joe, you have nothing to lose. Or is it rocket science? say what can help with that when he's not at home spending time with his new hobby.

Maybe they do, but it still sounds like 'sour grapes' to me.

There's a difference between truth and the facts, which are you looking for?

If you were there for most of the transactions I'm curious why you didn't speak up and call attention to anything you thought was wrong? You should have gone right to Father Joe with the evidence and got others involved.

It's no secret that there have been rumored shady accounting practices for the past few years. Isn't this why Mr & Mrs "B" stepped aside from their role with the finances a few years ago because they saw things that concerned them and that they didn't want to be apart of.

If there is wrong doing it needs to be fixed.

Stick to watching TV, it's more to your level of understanding and comprehension.

If this story is true then where is the money?

Resident, judging by the flames, peanuts and blue light bulbs you always seem to get, I'm not the only one who wonders where your head is. In your childish ways I'm sure numerous icons mentioned above will appear on this and other posts, it's just your style. Don't disappoint me.

As for watching TV? There is much to be learned from The History Channel, Discovery, Animal Planet and the Food Channel not to mention CNN, Fox News, and the major news networks.

Then again I could watch your favorites Nickelodean, Comedy Central, Cartoon Network, Lifetime.

The 'widdle' icons are important to you, eh?
I guess everybody should have some goals they can control...

Keep on judging, it's what small minded people do best.

I do not know the full story or if their actually is money missing.

What I do know is that where there's smoke there's fire and these comments on shady accounting practices and people stepping aside because of it is not something that just started. It's been going on for two years minimum. Based on that I say there has to be some truth to the rumors.

Someone close to the situation needs to throw themselves under the bus and bring it to the attention of the appropriate people. If not the rumors will continue and so will any misgivings that may be going on.

FYI, when the ledger is published on the final money taken in and expenses paid for the Festa the accounting is fuzzy. I am not saying that money is missing, I do not believe that is the case at all. The "fuzziness" is where they choose to code the expenses. It appears to be done in a fashion that makes certain income generating venues like the chicken wing booth and the cafeteria look more profitable than they really are. Understand this comment is not meant to put any of the volunteer workers in a bad light. As I stated I do not believe that ANY misgivings are occuring with Festa money. I do question where the Festa head or heads choose to apply certain things on the ledger (ficticious example, charge the ice cream booth for paper product expenses that really should have been charged to the cafe). What's the harm in reporting the income and expenses exactly where they belong?

So is this based upon no facts, what you heard, and made up?

Have you seen the ledger or report?

If not, all you have to do is go down to the recectory office and ask for it. It's right there on Park Ave.

Or are you more willing to not let facts get in the way of good gossip?

LMAO I see that Resi-don't didn't disappoint.

HUH you should play the lottery, you might win if you can predict the numbers.

Mofit, from all I've read you hit the nail on the head.

This site is better than the funny papers.
