Why is that when ever there is a bad situation for say for instance someone not breathing, like a child and in this case a 4mth of baby they are never to be found and Mon Valley EMS is responding from miles away. EMSI needs to be aware of how the lack of EMS personal for our wonderful Tri-Community Ambulance, Remona needs to be replaced by a professional person and changes need to be made, this service is the worst around the area. There are calls being taken by other services often due to the lack of response, or not having more then one crew on per shift..

was that the family up on the hill by the cemetery around 5ish on Sunday??- I saw the 2 cop cars fly by - hope the baby is well.
In the world of GPS "unsure of location" is inexcusable - that is what they are paid for - the city should investigate and close them down if they dont know the roads.... I am sure a real EMS company would love to have the business.

This summer I was stopped at the light at the bottom of Second Street on my way to Sheetz. As the light turned green, the EMS came off of Chess onto Second with the lights flashing and the siren buzzing. I pulled over to let them pass and continued my way to Sheetz. When I pulled into the Sheetz lot I saw the ambulance parked there and I was just amazed to see the crew coming out with coffee in hand. HUH?..Sure hope that wasn't their emergency!

Does it really matter?..It's a big issure nevertheless! Let me rephrase that..the actions are par for the course, not unlike how the city is run...better?

How is it not a city issue? If the people of the town can't get reliable and knowledgeable service from the EMS ....then the city needs to look at other options on how to best provide that service.

There is always 2 sides of a story and no i didn't hear their side.
The best solution would be to volunteer and try to make things better, Every fire dept., ambulance service would love to have more members, So get off the couch turn tv off and make a difference. By the way i am not siding with tri, like i said i din,t hear their side and i pray that the baby is okay.

...Next time you go to volunteer, let us know what their side of the story is.

This lack of E.M.S provider has been a joke in this valley for many years! But somehow they manage to stay open! Just remember one thing Tri many in this community have no faith in you includeing my family and I! Also I've had serious health problems and I needed an ambulance but I drove myself or got a ride to the hospital because you people creep me out! P.S a couple of you down there like being bullies! F you assholes!

Not sure if you realize this or not - but they are not staffed by volunteers. They are a for profit company that charges patients and/or insurance companies a lot of money for their services. Another reason why not knowing an address/location is unexcusable.

Let's take a sensible approach to this matter. First Tri was on another call, they had the next closest ambulance responding. That ambulance service requested the fire dept. The fire department is made up of volunteers, there are time that the can't get there in the time frame that you want them to be. Just be thankful that
our city has a volunteer fire department or you would be paying out the nose in taxes. There are alot of good, trained people that work at Tri. It's not there fault that the service is not managed correctly. If you want the service managed correctly then you need to start to complain to the board of directors which consists of two members of council from each of the three communities. It isnt just happening here, it is all over the place. Insurance companies keep lowering the reimbursements to the services, which in turn makes it harder to retain EMTs and Paramedics. There are no more volunteers at EMS services. There is just too much training and time involvement to volunteer for it. Its happening now with the fire departments. The Feds and the State keep demanding more time out of these men and women for training. In todays society there isn't more time than there use to be. So instead of MFing the local ems and fire services, put your heads together and help them come up with new ideas to help them out.

Tax Payer What the hell have you been smokeing! T.C.A has a few good employees but some down there are just plain assholes! Please do not tell me about volunteers! T.C.A as well as another E.M.S service in this valley have turned away volunteer! Unless you have been on the board or have worked for Tri you do not know as much as you think you know! Also you're right the EMTs and Paramedics do need our help but unless something is done to change the board and management nothing will change!

If the council members are the board members then we're screwed!

For those of you who continually "bash" the emergency service providers, I would ask, "What have you done to save another's life?" There are a few comments here about "not trusting Tri Community Ambulance" or "no good employees", etc. but have you stopped to consider the number of lives they have saved? Whether old or young - day or night - sunshine or snow - they respond to the call. It makes no difference whether it be a day in June or Christmas morning - their families are left so they may respond to help a stranger. Be thankful you have people who will come help you (even those of you who constantly find fault). Don't criticize those who give their lives to save another....
