I have 3 german shepherds that are in a chain link fenced in lot1/2 yard. On nice days, I let them out approx. 4-5 hours when I am home. My neighbors have a pitt and a pitt-mix. They are let out at seperate times on a leash right up against my fence. The problems started when the pitt became alittle older. The dogs started going aggressively at each other at the fence. The neighbors claimed not in a nice way that the pitt repeatly got his fence cut on the fence. They called the police and animal control numerous times with nothing being accomplished. My husband decided to rectify the problem by putting up a wooden fence a few feet away from the chain link. The fence is 6ft. He could not make it the way he wanted because we would have needed access to their property. The fence does have very little opening and my dogs are to large to get there heads through it. The pitt is cutting himself on the chain link fence. They have a large enough yard where they can move his leash but choose not to do this. This neighbor decided to call animal control and the police once again today to say her pitt's face was bleeding because of my dogs...they're suggestion, re-do the fence. They claim they cannot put a fence on their property because there's not enough room. We have spend well over $600 to try to please them and I'm not sure what else to do.

It seems you have done what you can. Out of sight means nothing to dogs. They can still get another animals' scent. I would give your neighbor permission to install wood on their side of your fence to protect their animals. At their expense, of course.

They don't have enough room to put a fence up on the same side as mine..but they do have enough yard to move their dog to the other side.

Ignore Da-dog ang Ma-Mouse...all they do is start fights with each other on every post on Topix. If they have not served with you with any sort of papers with regard to this, you don't need to do anything. If your dogs are staying in their own yard and are properly fenced in, there is nothing that your neighbors can do. If they are too dumb to move their dogs to the other side, then that is their problem. The next time their dog starts carrying on at yours through the fence, video it on your phone so you can show how it happened should they call the police/animal control again.

You're quite wrong on your statement. I used to reply to remarks made about me by various trolls but have quit the practice, if you look into it that the first snide remark is always made to me by one of this group. who I believe are one and the same person, and I do notning but reply to the taunts. I admit, my bad, but I do not draw them into it. I will admit it is fun to observe a troll's activities, especially when they forget to change their last log-in name before reposting as another. The immediate "cover up" post is a laugh. Have a nice day.
