There are people on the ballot this fall with better ideas then to continue busing children across the district to a building that needs constant monitoring to insure it's structurally safe. But, this lame duck board, for whatever reason, is trying to force the district to commit to expensive, long term decisions that the next board may not be able to undo. To continuing using a school that most of residents here have known for years is unsafe while allowing two well-built, beautiful buildings to be boarded up should not be the only option this district is left with.

Youre a fool.....Line the teachers pockets? Line the school bd members pockets?

What planet are you from?...The Ringgold teacher salaries are low - so low that their turnover from year to year is sad - teachers leave because the starting salary is well below the average...and school board members are unpaid einstein......

Right here, laughing at the same fools as always. Needless to post to them as they have so much fun posting to themselves. But it's nice to be missed.

School board is a volunteer position, they don't make any money, and our teachers are paid peanuts. They should be lining the teachers pockets with mo' money and maybe we'd be able to employ better graduates...

Give the teachers more money. Are you Crazy?- You must be a teacher yourself or related to one. What gets me most, is that when the teachers were hired for the job, they knew what they were going to be paid. If they were unhappy with the salary, why did they take the job. Why? Just to complain later. I think I am about to cry for all those poor teachers out there. Once they are hired, then they complain. There are a lot of people out of work and would love to have a job such as that or even a job at all. There are a lot of idiots out there who think you need to pay the teachers more money and you will get better teachers. Your ether a good teacher or your not. If money is the only thing you care about, your in the wrong line of work. I am pretty confident that the people that make the statements to pay them more, are teachers themselves. They do not even work 12 months out of the year. They have the summers off, holidays off, In service days (what a joke) off. Lets not forget those days around the holidays, before the holiday begins. The teachers do not even teach. I believe they feel they need to start the holiday early. When they are teaching, most only teach a few classes a day. What about the average worker who goes to work 5 days a week, works 40 hours or more and only gets the weekends and some holidays off.

I forgot - If we pay people more money they will be better and more qualified workers. You might want to do some research on that and you will find out that that is not the case. They have done numerous studies and the results were that money is a short term enhancement. Working conditions and appreciation came out on top.

It's "you're" as in you are crazy. The apostrophe is needed when you want say YOU ARE. Maybe you should've paid more attention to those teachers you have no respect for. Somehow you lost credibility before I even read your post.

Looks like I hit a "Nerrve." Did I spell that correctly? You must be one of those underpaid teachers that that have the "Nerrve" to complain about your pay.
