A google search of Rudy + Erie produced Rudy the gorilla who lived his life in captivity and recently died behind bars.

You know you're from Erie when your garden walk is made of flat beach rocks.

You know you're from Erie when you've seen the the cauldron in which they boiled "Mad Anthony's" body to bone.

You know you're from Erie when you keep an ice scraper in your car all year long.

You know you're from Erie when your Christmas cookie plate includes homemade pizzelles.

Mmmmm mm! Mighty Fine Donuts! Smith's hotdogs and bologna! Bugging State! Racing on French Street -Thank God, we lived to tell about it! Wonderful memories, but I am glad we no longer live in Erie or the County (or live quite so recklessly and carefree as in our teens!)

We used to race on East 12th street, before there were any lights from Franklin Ave to East Ave. And lots of good memories cruising the dock too.

Going to McDonald's doesn't age you, but if you remember going to Red Barn...then you probably have gray hair.

To be honest, I never went to the Hullabaloo, but I remember my siblings going there.

It did make me sound wild and exotic for a minute there, though, didn't it?
