School board members who constatntly behave in an unprofessional violent manner constantly embarrassing the school district MUST be removed from the position for the good of the district. If there is not a code of conduct for the board it should be a top priority for the board. It is an embarrasment to the community and the district to constantly read about the atrocious behavior. What a poor example for our youth. GET THEM OUT!!!

A judge appointed Maureen Ott. After a reorganization meeting Mariann Bulko became president. Tax payers voted in Charles Smith as president.

Unfortunately he is the one that cannot control himself. We need professional people on the board.

It is ok to disagree but to act like a child because you disagree is not befitting a person that holds holds the position of school director. These should be leaders that make macro decisions and allow the supers to earn their money.

Toby, There is a reorganization meeting every year. Also no one voted Chuckles the Clown as President of anything. Voters can only vote them to the board. The board votes as to who is President for the year. He thought he was voted King and ruled with an iron gavel. Now he is so out of control and refuses to play within the rules. He needs to be gone, along with his brother who has nothing new to offer, and Mauro who seems confused more and more at each meeting. I wonder if it is a medical reason causing his confusion or if he just doesn't understand what the board is discussing. Regardless I feel sorry for Gene when they are all gone. Who will pull his strings and tell him how to vote?

It was obvious how Maureen Ott would vote, a judge appointed her to the board... creating a change to the board people didn't vote for. The board voted Mariann Bulko as president and her position changed... another change after the people voted. Mr. Smith has not changed his position in doing what the people want and what they were elected to do.

Mariann Bulko is not a newcomer..she has been on the board forever..voted in again and again by the tax-payers. I don't think the issue is who changed what position..the issue should be to make an informed decision next time you vote!

She's still doing a better job at focusing than last year's president. This is a large geographic district; they need to be responsive to all, not just one neighborhood. They are pursuing the fiscally responsible route and can back it up with actual figures, not emotions.

What everyone seems to be missing that keeps saying that the people voted for the "save our schools" is that people were not voting for "save our schools". They were voting for the cheapest option. Mr. Smith and his buddies lied to people and told them saving our schools would be cheaper. When the facts came out, that was one big LIE. So now, he changed his tune. It's nostalgia. The Smiths have now been quoted as saying they don't care about price now. It's about the schools. And, oh yeah, the latest lie is the school will cost $42 million, when they know that the latest figure is $28million. Renovations to the old schools is $27million. Mariann Bulko has actually not changed her position, she's ALWAYS voted for the cheaper option. The real flipfloppers are Bob, Chuck and Larry.

When the people voted it was for "use what we have". Not, the flipflopped Mariann Bulko version... build a cheaply built new school... her term does not end until 2015. However, Maureen Ott is up for re-election 2013.

I'm commenting about these people being voted in during the election not the "save our schools" voting..Its alittle late for that vote seeing how most apparently weren't making an informed decision from the get go.
