I will NOT shop on Thanksgiving and be responsible for someone being made to work on this holiday.

I am with you on that, Kit. I am going to write a snail mail letter and give customer service a call on Monday telling them that I am not going to shop there
on T day. The workers need a rest day with their families.

I work at TRU and when I was hired they pretty much guaranteed working Thanksgiving. I worked at a Giant Food Store in PA before moving out to Indiana, and they closed early for the holiday, which worked fine. They had a spread for people who worked and sent us home around 4 PM.(there was never any business anyway, a few stragglers here and there but nothing great, and that was a usually busy store).

I at least hope we close early, this being my first thanksgiving away from home I would want to try something with some friends and such when I can't see my family. It is a real shame, as we open SO early black Friday, why not give us a break the day before at least? Our store is already ahead of its yearly budget, it would be nice if they just decided to close early at the least. It's a shame really.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Virgo

Words are flying around in all directions today, and the conversations will be fast and furious. You might face a lot of distractions and interruptions, or you could get caught up in some rather irritable slanging matches with a certain person. The busier you are, the more fraught you'll become and the more likely to go off the deep end.
