There was a Jamboree at the MAC tonight. They looked pretty decent and they should be exciting to watch. The Joe Jones Classic is the 21st through the 23rd.

Not at all. No support there, from administration down. It's a school with employees just drawing checks and going with the flow.

What has happened? A few years ago they were the best program in the area. They had big crowds and won a lot.

A coach who does not care about BIC basketball.....hes a smart ass and wants the kids to respect him but he does not show them any kind of respect at all......2 of the tallest kids in school that would have been an asset to this team are not even playing.....They both would have helped out the team alot....

Sounds like you need to get to know Coach Eoff. He is a great guy who cares more about his players as individuals than any coach we have ever had. As far as being 2 of the tallest kids........there is more to the game than being tall. Maybe at least one of the 2 should have checked his attitude and smart mouth at the door. Team sports can prepare one well for life and one of the lessons to learn is that a smart mouth, poor attitude and lack of good work ethics is not gonna keep you on the team and those things sure won't keep one employeed very long in the real world. Besides, Coach is the adult and authority figure, so he deserves respect.

My nephew is one of the so called tall players that has been mentioned on here......in fact he is the one with the smart mouth and poor attitude......and rest assured his mouth and attitude is being worked on as I type.... he has learned a lesson that now he realizes that your mouth and 16 years old will get you no where....I am a MUSTANG fan and would have loved to watch my nephew get to play.....He has said nothing about The Coach in fact as far as I know he likes the coach....and has learned alot about respect and what is required from a young man.......

I agree with adult...every 16 year old is gonna have a mouth but I don't care who you are, in order to get respect you have to give respect. One of the players I've tlked to sad tht said tht t seems lik no matter wat you do, he never satisfed. Garrett seems like a nice guy off the court but on the court he's completely different. And the "tall" player couldve been an asset to the team but his mouth got him in trouble. I know tht "tall" player and he said he would love to get bac on the team because he loves basketball and never wanted to leave the team. I'm around him qute a bit and he seems like a well mannered kid to me, and supposedly all his teachers think so too.

What it takes decades to build can be destroyed in only a couple of years. Hargrove was the biggest mistake for Mustang basketball. Best of luck to the new coach as he tries to rebuild the program.

AMEN! Say what you want about Bill Taylor, but he worked to build a class act program. Hargrove walted in to a great program and destroyed it. Hargrove is the worst mistake our school board and admin. Has ever made. He is a prick and I am glad he is gone. Coach Eoff has many qualities that we need as a coach. He truly cares about the kids and is a firm believe in building character and life lessons. I believe people may not care for him because he may not be as polished or have the appearance they believe their coach should be/have. Hargrove was a complete unmotivated idiot who was simply drawing a paycheck. Taylor was an arrogant, pompous, self-promoting person who happened to be an excellent coach. He knew what to say to people or groups to accomplish what he wanted. Basically a user. Should have been a politician. He would have fit right in. To dad who is upset his child may get yelled at, Coach Eoff does nothing compared to what Taylor did to his players. Should have been some of his practices. Wow is all I can say. Parents have to grow thicker skin if their kids are going to play sports. It ain't elementary school anymore. To win, one must have talent. Just because the parents think their kids are all-stars, those thoughts are not what wins ball games. If you look back at the years past, one sees a true desire by the players to want to win. Haven't seen that in a few years. One coach cannot come in and instill that in them instantly, it should begin in elementary athletics.
