The competence, and scope of our current leaders should be investigated, before adding new taxes, for example look at what they've done to Fish Hatchery Rd.. That is pathetic, and a sure sign of mismanagement.

Lexington County has 600+ miles of unpaved road. They will only pave 3 miles of roads per year. Doing the math it would take over 200 years to pave all the roads. They wanted a one penny tax and many people fell for the scam. Fortunately the plurality saw through their BS and the law was voted down. They wanted to be able to tax the people at any rate they choose at the end of 8 years. Voters would have had no say because the law was already voted in. They were caught in their lies. I want to know how much money they collect now for road taxes and how much actually goes toward paving. I would bet it is very small percentage. People are beginning to see that when a politician's mouth is moving he is lying.
