So we could crowd everyone into one for Mass while the other sits ready to be used of course! Just gave us a choice for a change of scenery every week. Personally, I have switched to Donora due to the overcrowding issue. I am quite happy now.

On the contrary my friend, I have a new crusade now, to empty the church a little bit. As I stated before, if St. Anthonys would return to its pre-St.Damien state, I will return, until such time I will go to Donora. That is, of course till warmer weather is upon us and then it is off to the Murrysville Alliance Church and the Blessing of the Bikes. http://www.macriders.org/ Come visit me there you may just have fun.

Please...could it be that you miss me?

You should go, get out of the litter box for a while. You can take a car, no body says you have to own a bike...lots of good people there.
I got sick of the merger comments a good while back...I even added a few nimwit responses of my own just to keep it going when it got slow LOL

I would have to guess that the diocese may have a buyer for the Donora site and not much faith of a resurgence in the local catholic population.

To the person that started this conversation things are not what they seem! Bishop Zubik used this thing where the former St Anthonys is allowed to have saturday mass to placate former parish members who had been raising cain about the merger! Because this small group of disenfranchised members was causing a lot of bad publicity for the diocese! But come august I believe the diocese will shut down St Anthonys for good! So relax this will be over in a few months!

I don't see any comment on this forum where anybody stated things are not what they seem..you seem a bit annoyed. As far as bad publicity, St. Anthonys' can't take all the blame for that one. Counting down the days, are ya?

Thanks for your helpful comment Dick.

Can we continue the discussion on whether there are people interested in buying the church/school in Donora?

Which? The one on 5th street that was gutted and sold for parts and now the owner is trying to unload it on any fool with 15K to spend? Or the one on 2nd street that is ready to fall onto Thompson? Or the one on 2nd ext that has plenty of property but no worthwhile building? Or the one at the bottom of 8th street, or the one on 5th and thompson, or 6th and thompson, or any of the many that have closed? Be more specific!

You want your easy to get to church in a crappy town?
YEAH, sure thing, just for you.

placate? So you think Bishop Z is letting those few get to him huh?
I don't think so. disenfranchised? maybe, if it the power thing you are speaking of....it's more like 'We spend and gave money and we want this for it'

I think Joe Banana Pepper up there is simply waiting for the opportunity to point his stubby fat finger at the StA people and laugh. He's one of those who saved a whole pew for his friends and let the StA people stand, even if they need a seat. He was in the row where everyone had their arms crossed during the sign of peace.
