By looking at the huge number of people at your funeral, you touched a lot of people and you will definitely be missed.

Rest In Peace.

Is there anything being done about the person or persons providing the alcohol to this minor? This is very sad to hear.

probly not, cause to this point there has not been alot said about where he was before the accident, only all the "good kid, football player,"If it would of been some kid who was a 'D' student who did not play on any team and was not a kiss butt at school, the first thing printed would of been "One car crash, police are investagating, drugs or alchol is suspected" correct me if I'm wrong.Been there!!!!!

ok well i've been through both!!! and either way it still hurts, whether or not its family or friends and whether or not it made front page news....omg who gives a shit!!! some one died that touched alot of peoples lives...a teenager...people are hurting...still crying and missing their friend every day!! it would of affected the people who care in the same way even if it was on the last page of the paper so get over it!!! my cousin Ruben died back in 97' in a car crash, and josh, one of my sisters best friends died in June also in a car crash. They both made front page news now that i think about it and Ruben was the kind of kid that you described!!! so are wrong!!

I guess I worded that wrong.I did not mean to refer to where in the paper it would be,I was refering to the investagation into the death by the authorities. As for Josh he was a wonderful young man, loved and missed by many including my son and daughter..they were not real close to him but friends.I do apologise for wording it wrong. My heart goes out to the family of this young man.

it does not matter what social group you are in or what kind of back ground you come from a loss of a loved one hurts all the same.and when its a child the pain is unbearable. A life taken so young. i did not know this boy but i cried for his parents.
I hope that with this tragic incident that other teens will think twice before they drink and drive.
and if some adult is buying for them .shame on you.
remember it could be your child or your loved one that was in that wreck.

i loved josh with all my heart i grew up with him..i've known him since i was in kindergarten. my parents loved him like one of their own especially my mom. and my brothers looked up to him because he was a remarkable person, sure hes made mistakes but who hasn't. for those of you who spoke nice things about him i'm sure he is thankful. but for those of you being disrespectful shame on you. As you can see i am writing 7 months later and it still ticks me off to see people being disrespectful. he was loved and no even if he was a D student he still be loved just as much and remembered for his good heart and how lovable he was...and fyi i went to school with him and i know for sure he wasn't a kiss ass.

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen but on what is unseen for what is seen is temporary but what is unseen is eternal.” 2nd Corinthians 4:18 Joshua Daniel Rodriguez was an incredible person he lived not only for himself, but for others. While with us on this earth he was blessed to be a son, a brother, a grandson, an uncle, a boyfriend, a nephew, a cousin, and a friend. On behalf of the Rodriguez family we want to thank those who loved him and wrote wonderful positive things about him and as for those who chose to do otherwise the Lord our father will take care of you in time. Remember,“A man is not measured by the number of years he lived, but by the way he lived his years while here on earth!” Those ignorant people who choose to judge, make assumptions, and spread bad rumors about josh can go right ahead, because you can’t hurt him anymore….he is in heaven with the Lord. The only people you are hurting is us his family those still here on earth who are mourning the tragic loss of our dear loved one. It does not matter what people say or things that you may have heard, the cause of Josh’s death had nothing to do with drunk driving. Those who say that are clueless. We once again we can prove you wrong! The autopsy results say otherwise and we would really appreciate it if people could keep their mouths shut and their noses where they belong. Remember we were there and you were not! We had no control over josh’s accident, but if we did he would still be here with us. God had a different plan and each day he helping us deal with this horrible loss. It was 7 months on the 25th and I still have a hard time believing that someone seriously has the audacity to say anything negative about some who is gone, not here to defend themselves. Well guess what we “his family” is still here and very proud of him and just to let everyone know we will always love him for who he was. Josh lived a great life. In his short time with us on earth, he was able to experience so much life, a life that he loved living. There ware so many wonderful memories that we each hold dear in our hearts and it is the day to day memories that will keep him alive forever! It will be in those subtle moments when we go somewhere, or we pick something up, or we see someone, it will be in that instant that we will always know Josh and the memory of him. We must hold onto these memories and remember he is always with us. Josh, we love and miss you…and you will be in our hearts forever.
