There are several reasons why our teens are doing crazy stuff: Drugs, parents who do drugs, parents who drink too much, parents who selfishly divorce instead of trying to work out differences, young girls & boys having unprotected sex - bringing babies into the world without the benefit of two loving parents under one roof, parents who raise these children to believe they are entitled to have everything they want - without working to earn it, even parents who spoil their children rotten - so rotten they think they can walk all over other people, because they are special. Until the parents get their head out of their a**, we will continue to see teens doing crazy stuff!

The kid that actually slit her throat was FAR from spoiled. How about hold him accountable for his actions rather than blame his parents, the drugs they did, the divorce they got, the stuff they bought him...how about we hold him accountable for his choices/actions. Until people like you know facts, stop generalizing and giving these criminals an escape door, they won't ever own up to their responsibilities.

"Not this time" - I absolutely hold this punk responsible for what he has done, and want him prosecuted to the fullest. I was just giving my opinion on why "some" teens are doing crazy stuff, as was asked. Just saying, "Go back and take a look at the parents", not always but a big percentage of time. For God sake...look at my name!!!!

The constant onslaught, glorification and trivialization of horrific violence in Hollywood movies, on television, and in video games completely desensitizes children, teens and adults. With the easy availability of images and videos of graphic violence on the internet, coupled with the lack of supervision by parents or guardians or mentors to help younger net surfers have some context or explanation to understand and process what they are seeing and 'experiencing', sadly heinous acts become become more common. We shouldn't be so surprised - you reap what you sew.
