We lock up marijuana users but real threats to society like this roam free. What a disgrace. Iowa doesn't care about our safety, just money. What kind of "special sentence" did he get? Why are drug users placed behind bars and people who prey on children get "special" suspended sentences?

You ar right LegalizeItIowa. It seems the most severe cases slip by the system. The system is a MAJOR flaw. They put users in jail instead of the most dangerous people on earth. When is the system going to stop catering to the real criminals. If you are a law abiding citizen then you don't count for anything except your taxes that you pay and those taxes go to pay for all of the leagal fees for criminals. Where on earth is JUSTICE? Not here that is for sure.

Well for the judgers you shouldnt speak on such issues you dont have the facts on.. Iam the mother of the supposable "victim" Michael is no predator or pedophile. He is now married to the "victim" and they are expecting their first child. For those of you that dont have facts here are the facts... Michael and the "victim" are now married and are expecting their first child. Teens that date seniors that are 18 turning 19 or graduates 19 turning 20 be careful bc he was still charged with consensual sex from both parents as well as the supposeable "victim" The judicial system is so messed up. How do you put a charge as contradictive as his and get away with it? Consensual sex with a child under the age of 15 but yet bc he was 20 and had just turned 20 mind you still charge and have to register but not be on the registry. So again get your facts! Bc he is no sex offender and soon enough this will come to a head! A kid that is not in trouble before or during his time on the GPS. THe couple that has been together 5 yrs in Aug just want to be left alone to raise their child!

The law is clear and you people who think this is alright probably break the laws yourself without any thought of consequences. If one breaks the law, no matter what the circumstances, that one should pay. Maybe we should all take time to develop a moral conscience and then our jails wouldn't be so full. It is really very simple, JUST OBEY THE LAWS! Think before you act!
