To I&R Properties, Steve Paliga
As residents of the Lake Canyada Mobile Home Park, we are becoming increasingly anxious over the possible need to find new homes in the event that Aug. 31, 2010 comes and no deal has been reached between I&R Properties and the Scott Co. Conservation Board regarding our wastewater treatment.
We understand there are several options that would resolve the issue, but are feeling 'left in the dark' while a large number of our questions, concerning how and if the problem will be resolved.
Some of our main concerns and questions include:
1) Many of us have heard some of the options for treating our wastewater, but are interested in hearing in which options are most plausible.
2) What is the likelihood that any given option would dramatically increase our sewage bills?
3) It's been stated that the Scott Co. Conservation Board is being the uncooperative party. Can you elaborate?
4) Can you guarantee that Lake Canyada's residents won't need to relocate their families and/or homes due to the wastewater treatment issue? If not, can you guarantee that residents will be notified of their need to vacate with an ample amount of time (60-90 days) to find new homes?
5) Would you be willing to attend a meeting where you would have the chance to speak with residents as a single group to answer questions?
As there are so many of us residents interested and concerned about the situation, we are including a list of our names, lot numbers, and the length of time we've called Lake Canyada "Home", showing a group interest in the matter.
We're asking for the chance to either meet with you in person and/or have our questions answered on paper, as a group, for assurance.
Thank you for your time, it's appreciated.

we just moved out there as a starting place in Jan 2010..we are rebuilding it from ground up...and now this???? we've already put new roofing, floor boards and many more and now we receive this letter????!
i cant believe this...we shouldve been warned before moving in...
the manager needs to have a discussion with the residents to tell all...at times i call him and no answer or no call backs this is so sad...as newlyweds, we thought this was a start of something new.

Ok found out the parks managers were let go for stealing rent and they/Chris taking care of the park does a crappy job in the winter only plowed one road way so no one could get through they apparently don't know what salt is so people can get out of the park and as far as pot holes in the road be careful cause it sucks cars bottom out but do they care NO! The old management told people lies to get them in and now we are stuck in a lease. REALLY!!! Can you care somewhat?? Put some care into the park stand up for what you say pitbulls in the park dogs running with no leash people with trash outside this is gross clean up the park and make the people here happy! And make it safe people have been threaten by the kids running around and it is fine. This is not where I will ever stay I like some of my neighbors they really care and take pride but for the rest clean up your act!
Sincerely getting a lawyer!

just wondering what the update is? know the water flow meters have been put in anything else? of course the new managers will not answere questions just like the old one. these are the same people that wanted answers just a year ago! now where do we stand? once again just wanting answeres!!!!!

Perhaps that is due to the fact that the current managers don't have the answers, either. While the new managers try to answer questions they are asked, people think they aren't saying anything because the answers aren't what people want to hear. Every time the managers say the park isn't closing, people think it's a lie, or an avoidance of some other answer. Seems the only thing that people want to hear or WILL believe is if someone says the park is going to close, and it's BS.

ALSO, no the old manager was not 'let go' for stealing money. The old manager QUIT. Please get your facts (or whatever you want to call them) straight.

I would just like to know if the park is closing. I have only been here a few months and I wish that I had been told about this before I signed a lease for a year. One person says its not closing but other people still say it is closing. I just want to know if I have to start looking for another place to live. Oh and as far as the plowing and salting, if they don't do it this year I will be fishing my car out of the lake.Last winter we moved in at the end and my husband had to get out of the car and guide me down the hill cuz I was sliding down it and almost hit a few cars. I will not put up with it again this winter it is wrong and we pay this high rent and we can't even drive through this place with out our cars being damaged.

Everyone who lives in these Parks, Listen UP ?

All entities. You rent from. Have operating costs. Costs which they cannot get out of. All of you are in a battle against a Corporation. Not a Person.

The way to win is drive costs of operation. his is called "BUDGET ATTACK". Drive up costs Misterious damage, Misterious breakage, Misterious leaks, Misterious things Just happen.. No one has control of them. Crap happens.

Complain. Complain till the phone breaks. Remember the Corporation ? IT"S onlyobjective is PROFIT. IT has no conern beyond the bottom line. IT will sent out IT"S agents to whyne and begg, that is what THEY are paid to do...

PEOPLE, grow a BACK BONE !!!!!!

I was never so glad to move from that place. The kids now grown did nothing but steal, and molest other young children. Management knew all this, but still did nothing. I have driven through it recently, and the place looks like a hell hole compared to what it used to look like. There was a guy murdered there a few years after we left. Someone got caught manufacturing meth. I am not surprised the police have a dragnet around the place. I know I had to pay to have a back ground check done, but after finding out what kind of people lived there, I doubt very much if they ever used the money for that. A lot of the beautiful mobile homes have left. I see this place going the same way as the Hickory Road mobile home park.
