he needs to be suspended or taking off the force.i mean hes a cop in a cop car and he ran someone over.and either way if the kid was in the road or not, anyone driving should be looking at the road.it wasnt foggy or snowing, you can see someone walking at night even in "dark" clothes.Especially on main street where thier are street lights everywhere" and i guarntee he was fucking with his phone or computer not paying attention and looked up to late.witch is know excuse, but nothing will happen to him because this town is a joke.If i was that retard that got hit i would sue the shit out of someone
how do you know they are trying to or not.shit like that takes a lil time.and i doubt its gonna be easy to sue a cop and win

this is the news story from news channle 6 not good quality from my cell.
They are now saying that there was 2 officers in the car at the time they hit him.
I heard there was 2 officers in the car also. If the driver did not see the kid crossing the street, why didnt the passenger? Where they both on their cell phones or on the computer or what? It is very sad that there would be 2 officers in that squad car and not one of them seen him crossing the street enough to slow down or stop the car.
And as for jay walking, who in that town hasn't jay walked? A lot of the sidewalks in that town are not even good enough to walk on, so you have to walk on the street. And if you are in a wheelchair, I am not sure what you would do.

This says Central Illinois.
Is this the same accident that occurred in Monmouth.
Why is being kept so quiet?
If a regular person hit someone it would not be quiet.
We all should be treated the same.
